First of all, let me say this company has a history of not meeting their financial obligations. See /Computer-Graphics/Jet-Powered-Group-Of/jet-powered-group-of-fort-wort-BE2FB.htm

Here is our situation:

We began a relationship with Starr Tincup (formally Jet Powered Group or "JPG") in June 2005 paying them a hefty double digit retainer for marketing and sales services relating to the selling of our product.

Built into the contract was a performance guarantee that would refund money to our company in the event Starr Tincup did not meet pre-defined performance goals and milestones (called a Service Level Agreement or "SLA").

By the time we ended our relationship with Starr Tincup, they owed us over $7,000 for NOT MEETING THEIR PERFORMANCE GOALS.

In fact, we have several emails from one of their principals, Brett Starr, acknowledging in writing this debt was owed to our company. And when we renegotiated the contract (prior to terminating our relationship with them) the debt was recognized in the contract as a liability to our firm.

After we ended the relationship, Brett seemed very willing to "work something out" but then he stopped returning my emails. His partner William Tincup then got involved and during a phone call basically said he had no intention of paying us.

I then met with an attorney who reviewed all documents and said it was clear they owed us the money. So our attorney sent Starr Tincup one final letter asking for payment and they ignored it.

We are now in the process of exploring a legal suit and will also report Starr Tincup to major credit firms.

What's sad is that during the entire period we contracted with Starr Tincup (1.5 years), we never missed or were late for a single retainer payment to them. Yet, when they owed us money for not doing their job to the level they said they would, they don't pay us.

I would never work with this company again. Brett Starr and William Tincup cannot be trusted. Just visit the URLs above for others who have been through this same experience.

sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company your comments on this policy are welcome!
