Your absolutely wrong about looking for just a win. People like to play but don't like it when the casino is stealing form you. Stations are known for the tightest machines in town and locals are figuring that out. The management is horrible and the owners even worse for allowing this to happen. Slots are supposed to pay out a state minimum and so far we have investigated and found that they are not doing just that. In fact they are paying the fines by the gaming board. There was just a bleep of a headline on it but then it went away. How funny is that??? You blame the players for wanting to play but in turn it is the casino themselves who are to blame. We expect some loss but not at the extremes they are going to. Station Casino's will be back in bankruptcy once again due to unethical business practices.

As a FORMER Vegan I can tell you this much, gambling is just that a gamble. They CAN tighten down their machines and still be within the legally allowed limit of payouts. Casinos are NOT built by "winners". EVERY casino is built under the concept that people are going to chase that win and walk out poorer for doing so. There is only ONE sure fire way to"win", just DO NOT PLAY!!!
Now I know there is going to be "pushback" because what I suggest means that you CANNOT win. But you dont lose as well. Anyone who sits down at a MACHINE and drops money in MUST expect that they are going to lose THAT money. Nevada doesnt have a STATE TAX. Thats because the casinos pay that. So when you sit down and drop your cash, you are paying YOUR part of the state tax.
There are several schools of thought on gambling. The first thought is "Im a winner" mentality. This means that when you go into a casino you ASSUME that you are going to win and when you dont win you tend to get upset and badmouth the casino. The reality is that YOU had the CHOICE to NOT play and when you dont win it MUST be the casinos fault because YOU always win. Now the second school of thought is the one I subscribe to. That any time I walk into a casino, I AM GOING TO LOSE!!!! This means that no matter what I am going to lose and when I put that money in, im not EXPECTING to win. Im going in to PLAY AND HAVE FUN!!!!! IF I win, so much the better. If I lose, then I knew what was going to happen. Too many people think that THEY are going to win where other always lose. THAT is what causes the problems. Casinos have been like this since the inception of Vegas. Winning is a side effect of havng fun. Somewhere along the way it got reversed. NOW pwoplw ASSUME that THEY are going to win and when they dont its because the big bad casino is a meanie and stole their money. In no way shape or form do ANY of the casinos say "Come in locals, you will win because you are a local".
I always reflect back on one of the final lines of a old movie "War Games" early 80's. At the end of the movie the computer states "The only way to win is not to play". If you keep one of the two in mind when you go play it makes taking the lose of the money a bit easier. At the end of the day, NO ONE in the casino FORCED YOU to put one single penny in their machines. IF you did then THAT is on you. Maybe its the lure of "free" money. Maybe its just high hopes and pipe dreams. Either way NONE OF YOU WERE FORCED INTO PLAYING!!!
It was YOUR money, it was YOUR choice. YOU played the game and lost. Get over it because it is NOT three card monty. Its YOU looking for a win.

Attention all Las Vegas locals! IF you play at Wildfires prepare to lose all your money. Stastion casinos own Wildfires and they continue to pay less than the strip. This company is ruthless and hopefully locals figure this out and never play there. Wildfires are just some of the casinos they own which have horrible odds and are not worth playing at. If you want to play with better odds then go to the strip but don't visit any of the local casinos because they ripping people off hard!!!

Station casinos are at it once again! Remember when they had a free swipe and win??? Well not anymore. They are making you play 5 points before you can swipe to only get entries into a drawing you will more than likely lose. This casino company is ruthless and hopefully locals stop going to any of them. As for tourists please note that they will take your money and give you nothing in return! They are thieves and continue to take from even the local players whom they are supposed to be loyal to.
It's not about fun anymore when your $100 lasts 5 minutes. They even scam you into playing 12 x the points on certain machines in which they tighten up so bad that it would be worth 100 x the points. I am just glad I am no longer playing there. They went too far this time!!!

Attention locals: Station casino's have been tightening the machines up and have been unfair to players. This has been going on for a long time now. If you have experienced this with Buffalo machines in particular please respond. They have been abusing the law by not paying out the legal percentage they are required to. We have a team of people who have reported this happening. If you are a tourist especially stay away from Sunset Station, Green Valley Ranch, all Wildfires, Fiesta Henderson or Rancho, Palace Station and Red Rock! The company is unethical and should be investigated for their poor business practices.

ALERT: To all locals who play on these properties take notice that during the month of July that if you swiped your cards to win on the promotions they offer you will notice that the most of the swipes are drawings only and either $5 dining offers or gift. It is a complete scam. The machines have been tighten to make you lose. Do not play on these properties just because of the swipe and win promotion. We have used 3 different players cards including Chairman, President and Platinum. They all swiped exactly the same all month long with the exception of a couple times 1,000 points or free buffet. You should beware that they are taking from you the local in a way which is unethical.
If you want to play then try playing at a property which does now offer these type of promotions. We have noticed better odds and they even allow us to play longer. Even the strip pays better than the local casinos.
