Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
We purchased a Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier from a "broker" who got the puppies from STEVE KRUSE. This "broker" had kept the puppies in her Beauty Shop and we were told she had one left, a male. When the puppy was brought to us you could see how malnourished and sickly he was. He had Giardia which took weeks to cure. His coat was dirty and he smelled. We could not turn this puppy away knowing it needed medical attention and a loving home. We named him "Nicky".

HIs disposition was aggressive and fearful, but we loved him from the first time we saw him and knew he would no longer be neglected once he lived with us. We had a lot to deal with....NIcky was fearful of people, difficult in the car, would not let anyone near him to pet him except family. He had many health issues through the six years we had him.....he developed leukemia this past August and on October 2, 2007, he passed way.

We are devastated...this poor little boy had a very bad start in life, being raised on a cattle ranch, only God knows what he went through until we took him home with us. Then to live only 6 years....my husband and I did all we could for him.....but Nicky's problem was that he was so fearful that he wouldn't let our vet touch him and for every exam, he would have to be sedated...which is dangerous in itself. So, consequently, we couldn't go through chemo or radiation because he would not allow it without trying to bite the doctor.

My husband and I had our first Wheaten for 13 years....Schuster was born in a loving family home...the breeder treated the puppies with loving care....they were healthy puppies.

Steve Kruse has to be shut down and put out of business....you can't love dogs and treat them like the livestock he raises. No responsible breeder would ever put their puppies in a situation where they could develop health issues that could be prevented. Every time I think of what Nicky went through and then to die so young makes me so angry that I keep telling myself, "what goes around around, comes around" and someday, Steve Kruse will get his...maybe not in this lifetime, which I hope he does, but he will have to deal with a Higher Power concerning his unethical treatment of animals who were put on this earth to be treated humanely.
