Stivers Ford Lincoln Ashley from Stivers left me a voicemail saying I was preapproved for a $25,000 Auto loan with a 0% down payment. I was in the market to upgrade my work vehicle, & Stivers is 1 of the carlots i had went to during closed hours to look around, but never applied for a auto loan with them. Montgomery Alabama
Being that I had been turned down previously for a loan, my wife & I both called to confirm financing with Ashley before making the trip. On 8-4, Ashley confirmed loan amount/0 down payment. My wife told her we wouldnt be wasting our time if it wasnt guaranteed, Ashley assured her it was in house financing all I needed was ID & check stub. Once we got to the carlot, Eddie Johnson took my ID and everything that was promised was a lie. They told me I needed a cosigner+ $$$ down and I would be approved for $15,000. Bait and switch advertising without the intent to sale. We didnt contact these scam artist they called us.
Bait and switch advertising without intent to sale. Guaranteed auto loan approval of $25,000 with 0 down. We didn't contact them for a loan, they called us. We have a voice mail from Ashley identifying herself from Stivers Ford Lincoln in Montgomery, stayi,gI was approved with them for $25,000 with a 0 down payment. We confirmed with Ashley before making the trip. Once at the dealership I was told I needed a cosigner and money down. We applied through landing tree online, I am guessing this is how they got my name. In Alabama false advertising , or unfair practices like the bait and switch scam is illegal.
