My son received a call on his cell phone while driving soliciting magazines. He answered questions and shortly thereafter started receiving magazines. He called the company and was sent a letter that he was bound by contract and they had a taped conversation (which he was unaware of).
I called the company to discuss cancelling this and spoke to 3 different people asking for a physical address to send a letter to. I was told that they would not give me an address due to the fact that I was upset and not sure what I would do. This was not their home and all 3 refused to give the address. When asked about getting out of the contract I was told it would be at least $390 for their expenses. At this time my son has received 3 magazines. The remark I got from them was: it's your son's credit and life.
With the rudeness and arrogance I received I wonder if this is a scam.
