I bought a new car from this dealership on 7/06/09 and was astounded by

their deciet and unethical behavior! I paid full list price for a new Kia Soul, i

was given a jacked up interest rate on the financing. When i complained about

the financing i was told that they only deal with one bank located in California.

I was lied to about an "extended warranty" that their financial officer said i

had to buy to get a lower payment with 72 month financing. They refused

to give me copies of all the paper work that i signed the day of the sale.

I had nothing to show that, i had given them a three thousand dollar down payment, most of it cash! A week after the sale, i recieved paperwork

that showed i had been sold an $1,895 service contract that they had called

and "extended warranty". Service contacts are total rip offs and i had been

lied to! Suntrup Kia of St. louis gave me the worst car buying experience that

i have had in over 40 years of buying automobiles!

I've had a similar experience. I was told I HAD to have the extended warranty or I wouldn't get approved for financing.....and this vehicle already had the Lifetime warranty Suntrup was advertising. So...what's the point? I refused the GAP Insurance they tried to put on my loan as well.

I too was never shown the numbers on paper where I could haggle the sticker price down. They tried distraction techniques to keep me from asking too many questions about the numbers.

Shady shady deals there!!!! I ended up NOT getting this car financed and only because when the finance company called me a week later to verify our terms, I asked lots of questions and found out that I in fact did NOT need an extended warranty....the denied the loan and I returned the car. I'm still waiting on my $2000 downpayment to be refunded to me though. I'm giving it a few more days then I'm filing a complaint at the Prosecuting attorney's office.

Thanks for your report...I know I'm not crazy now- even though they tried to make me feel like I was :)
