Bought 94 Kenworth from SWAT through Ebay "as is" - bad decision on my part. Description was of a clean southern truck. Spoke to only Dan regarding the truck and questions I had, which he did hang up on me one time. The funds were sent to SWAT and Dan offered to bring the truck out to Omaha, half way to Colorado, since he had trailers to deliver there. Naively, I thought he was doing me a favor. The agreement was to leave the truck at a Flying J with the keys in the visor. The next day, however, I came across the truck with the keys in the ignition, still in the on the position and both windows half down. At first glance, you could tell this was a piece of junk. Every possible fluid was leaking and or dripping. Holes in the floorboard, gages missing, temp controls didn't work, wipers didn't work, the passenger side window was inoperable (power windows) and the driver side was left down by the driver. This is just a small list of malfunctions I noticed by just getting in the truck. On the way to colorado, I soon found out that 6th gear was out of the transmission. The rear dif punkin was rusted through and leaking gear oil. The electrical system was an absolute nightmare. I could go on and on... After a mechanic looked it over, realized I would have to put in at least $15k to clear DOT inspection. Long story short, sold the truck for half of what I paid just to cut my losses. Do not buy from SWAT! Read their disclaimer, they cover their a** because all they sell is complete trash!
