T-mobile is truly the worst cell phone provider out there. After three years of being a loyal customer and fulfilling all the terms of my contract, I wanted to upgrade my phone to one of the new 4g models. I was told by t-mobile customer service that if I extended my contract to 24 months, I could purchase the phone with a deposit and make monthly installment payments.

I then went to a t-mobile store in Peoria, Illinois, located in the Northwoods Mall. They sold me a Samsung Galaxy S II. Upon returning home with the phone, I discovered that I could not view videos, access apps or access any of the special functions of the phone because T-Mobile does not provide 4G coverage in the area where I reside. This fact was not made known to me before I entered into the contract, however.

I promptly returned the phone to the store and cancelled my contract. Now they are sending me bills and trying to collect a $200 early termination fee for cancelling my contract. I have talked to customer service as well as the Peoria T-Mobile store in Northwoods Mall and no one cares that I was not properly informed before entering into the contract. They just are insistent upon ripping me off for my hard-earned money!! This is my reward for being a long-term customer of this second-rate company that can't provide services to their customers because they can't afford to provide adequate coverage. All they care about is getting their hands on your money. Never mind providing the service they make you believe they can provide to you!!

Now they're going to turn these bogus charges over to a collection agency so they can besmirch my credit rating and make me look like I'm at fault. THEY ARE THE ONES WHO NEED TO HAVE THEIR REPUTATION SOILED BECAUSE THEY TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS WITH NO RESPECT OR CONSIDERATION WHAT SO EVER!!!

In today's economy this company cannot compete with Sprint or Verizon in providing up-to-date coverage for the new smart phones. There is NOTHING SMART ABOUT GETTING SERVICE FROM T-MOBILE!!!

So if you are looking for a good cell phone company, do yourself a big favor and go with Sprint or Verizon, or one of T-Mobile's other competitors, because T-Mobile cannot provide the kind of services they want to charge you for. They might give you a cheaper plan but remember YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR FROM SOME COMPANIES BUT UNFORTUNATELY NOT AT T-MOBILE.

They will not be seeing that $200 early termination fee, because by the time they file a lawsuit against me, they will be out of business. AND THAT'S JUST FINE WITH ME!!!

Silly rabbit, your 200$ is not going to bring a multi million dollar business down....besides that would mean more people on welfare and getting free phone coverage compliments of us tax payers. So really bud, think twice before making an outlandish statment.

Now here are some ideas for you...consider a "POLITE YET STERN Letter" to their management team, escalate it til you both come to a reasonable conclusion (basically ask them to cancel and waive the fee in lieu of the poor service area coverage).

In our area, we have 24 hours from the time we get a new phone "upgrade" to test it from our "home" area....We even are given a cell booster to see if it aides in signals. If though it doesn't work, the cell company lives up to its word by refunding the deposit and cancels.....You may want to consider that food for thought before signing or agreeeing to an "upgrade.  No cell provider can "guarantee" full range coverage and its sited on the agreement...You should read the agreement in detail..It would make you think that going back to smoke signals is simpler!!!  Basically the agreement FAVORS the Provider.
