I just want to complain about my experience at Target Clinic.  Specifically the one in Maple Grove, MN.  The doctors name is Tricia Nesser.  Horrible.  Not even sure she is a real doctor.  Both the secretary and the "doctor" wear the same red and beige pant jump suits as all the other teeny bopper kiddies in the store working there.

Anywho...

I have a health savings account so I want to make sure I'm getting the most for my money.  I was shopping around for a cheaper price on an office visit so I thought I'd give Target Clinic a try.  Big mistake.

I was very ill and it was going on for almost 2 weeks before I decided to see someone.  I tend to get these horrible sinus infections once every year or two years.  I had a temperature of close to 103 degrees.  I was snotting up and coughing up a storm all over her.  I'm basically just pissed because she refused to give me any sort of prescription for an anti-biotic.  Instead she points me to the over the counter cold medicine crap on the floor.

Target Clinics as of this writing can not do blood tests.  I would highly avoid going there.  I got a second opinion that day and sure enough I needed amoxicillin which fixed me right up.  I felt better by the end of the weekend (went in on a Friday) so I could be back to normal when I head back to work.

Stupid b***h Target doctor wanted me to come back if I was still sick.  I already took a day off to see her.  Right, like I'm going to suffer through this horrible sinus infection for another unproductive week...unproductive because I feel so god d**n shitty.  There is nothing more annoying than a doctor who refuses to give you an anti-biotic when you know you're sicker than a dog.  If I was eating anti-biotics constantly I could see the concern but I only take them when I really need it.  Like I said, once every year or so.

So yeah...I'm just pissed because I spent money for an office visit ($60) which got me absolutely nothing.  Avoid Target Clinic.  If your kid commonly gets strep throat then maybe it is okay for you since they have a test for that.  Problem is they don't have their own lab so your kid will have to suffer for a while anyway till the results come back.

Yeah, avoid Target Clinic and go elsewhere.  I might try CVS Pharmacy next.  I hear they have clinics.  I wish more people would shop around for clinics like I do instead of going to their regular expensive clinic and allowing their doctors to bill their insurance company whatever they want.  That's why health insurance costs are going up so much dumbasses.  Shop around.
