The Cardinal Firm 1-877-862-5297 Called from NO CALLER ID #, left message also called my close family members with same threatening message Temecula CA
Around 10:30 am this morning I received a call on my cell phone from a NO CALLER ID #. I didn't answer because I don't answer any calls from #'s I don't recognize. I figured if it's important they can leave a voicemail. I noticed this call did before I could check the voicemail my boyfriend called me to tell me that someone called him asking for me about a complaint that is filed against me and that I need to contact them right away and that they provided him case # DA147136 and phone # 1-877-862-8297 and the guy said his name was Anthony Jordan.
This immediately upset me because not only did they call me but they called him too. I received the same voicemail. I became instantly suspicious. I jumped on the computer and started googling the phone #. Needless to say, there are SEVERAL reports that this is a scam and it's an attempt to scare you to provide them your bank info. I read reports that others who have called saying the company had their Driver license number and social security #. I have no idea whom these people are. How they got my # and my close family members information but this is not cool. On the error of caution, I did NOT call the phone number that was provided to me because I don't believe I have any cases against me and if I do I will wait for a formal letter to come in the mail.
Remember you can always contact your local courthouse to see if you have any open cases pending against you. DO NOT provide this company and phone number with any of your financial information. If something does not seem or sound right listen to your gut. So far I have only received the one voicemail but I'm reading this will happen several times. Unfortunately, they call from a # with no caller ID so you can't block the number. Isn't there any way to report these guys? This should not be legal!!!! I"m very upset they have my information and I don't know how they got it and what gives them the right to harass me and my close family members?!
