The Maids Before You Buy A The Maids Franchise Learn About Our Experience Omaha Nationwide
Are you considering investing in a franchise with The Maids located in Omaha, Nebraska? We spent almost half a million dollars attempting to start one of their Franchises and d**n near killed ourselves for 18 months but ended up flat broke, exhausted and out of business. We are educated people with significant experience in corporate America and we successfully started a franchise in a completely different business area 8 years ago which continues operating so one would think we should be qualified for this task. Thinking that if we totally dedicated ourselves to success and ensured that plenty of money was available success would be almost a sure thing.
We bought a large franchise area in one of the fastest growing counties in the Houston area and used every marketing approach recommended by The Maids and some we learned during our first startup. Tracking phone numbers were used on every approach, performance was carefully measured then we funded the most successful. Does that sound like a reasonable approach? It did to us too but it failed. We attended mandatory training with another couple who opened a franchise in another state around the time we opened for business. Their experience wasn’t much different than ours. After 18 months they told us that investment exceeded $300,000, they were barely past break even and were working their butts off.
You should be very careful during your due diligence and find a way to talk to people who owned failed franchises if you can. I suspect that will be a very difficult chore. We are not saying that you should not purchase a The Maids franchise but advise you to become totally informed of potential outcome and experience of others before proceeding.
