The Secret Society This Organization Rips Off Senior Citizens by mail Dallas, Texas Internet
I just Reported The Secret Society to the Texas Attorney General, Greg Abbott, and Texas Governor, Rick Perry. The online reporting form fors not work, so I faxed and emailed my Complaint. The Complaint is as follows:
I received 2 solicitation letters from "The Secret Society," one in January 2011, and the most recent one being received yesterday, on 2/23/11. The return address for sending $139.95 to "The Secret Society" showed an address of P.0 Box 560647, Dallas, Texas 75356-0647. When I Googled "The Secret Society" I found 138 Ripoff/Scam Reports between 6/18/07 ad 2/10/11. The most recent one is copied below.* The link to these Reports is: http://www.ripoffreport.com/Search/The-Secret-Society.aspx. Therefore, I sent nothing to them, and decided to instead Report "The Secret Society" to the Texas Attorney General.
As a former Assistant US Attorney for the W.D. of Texas, I am surprised and offended that this Senior Citizen Rip-off/Scam has been allowed to continue so long without being prosecuted and shut down. The tenor of the letter obviously targets Senior Citizens. I am now 66, and am taking the time to file this Complaint on behalf of all Texas Citizens, and especially those to whom these letters have been sent, and those to whom they will continue be sent in the future, if this Scam is not stopped. Therefore, I am handing these well documented facts to the Texas Attorney General Consumer Complaints Division, "on a Silver Platter." Res Ipsa Loquitor…The Facts Speak for Themselves.
