Theater Research - Tweeter Audio Theater Research Speaker System RIP OFF Newport Beach California
I just got hosed too.. big time! Just like everyone else, I was suckered by a guy in a black Acura TX LC Y03 CJC... with pretty much same story that everyone else has reported... He approached me outside of the Bank of America Branch on Greens Road @145 in Houston, TX. posing as a representative of Tweeter Audio (The sales booklet had a Tweeter Audio Cover!) with these "awesome" Theater Research digital system TR-501 w/two TR-2900 tower speakers that retailed for $2499.99. We just finished a major job for a local hotel and had sets left over.
These are a great deal for $800.00 as a matter of fact I had a guy offer the $800 but with a check at this price we are taking cash only. Stupid, stupid me if he was legit he could have cashed my check right there at the bank, but then that would have left a trail. I ended up paying him $400 for the speaker system (I had went just inside the bank and withdrew $500 bucks!). I went home and was trying to research the speakers, but all I got were links to scam sites like this. Any help in finding a phone number/address of these people would be appreciated. All I have is that it was a black lowered Acura or Honda Civic 2-door with 18's Texas License plate Y03 CJC, and he claimed to work for Tweeter Audio on 1960 in Houston, TX. Man am I sucker...
