Two construction & remodelers that work together.  Tom Archer was a client of mine & sent Bradley Martens to remodel my bathroom.  He dragged his heels to complete the work, constantly going for parts & materials.  Come to find out:  He was hiding his drinking and possibly other things.  He was unable to plan, measure and complete much.  He attached the sub floor with liquid nails & failed to consider the drain & other plumbing fixtures.  He was confused & in a fog.  I fired him.  These guys think they should be paid.

Will attach pictures soon.

Rebuttal to Ms. Susanne Lindsay Cox

#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

Thu, January 03, 2013

Ms. Cox (Owner / Operator of Crystal's Clips Mobile Grooming Spa LLC) was hired by me, Thomas Archer, to groom my Springer Spaniel @ my home.  I accommodated her w/ portable fan set-up (as her trailer did not have said capability, and it was a hot July 16, 2009), paid her $100 (for a $60 - $70 estimate) w/ tip, more for the effort she had shown than the end result of the groom.

I responded to her request and completed a few jobs @ her Den. res. nearby my home:  finishing a kit. cabinet & counter-top set (left incomplete by another, for whatever reason); completing her recently installed over-sink splash tile & grout (whomever initiated same had no idea how to tile-in a win. return); and wiring her heavy power chord w/ proper devices to be utilized to power her mobile spa trailer ... ALL BECAUSE SHE WAS supposedly UNABLE TO FIND ANYONE COMPETENT TO DO SO.

I billed-out for the above, & was paid accordingly / immediately.  I loaned her, delivered, & p/u'd (after her return) some ventilation equip. to her res. nearby, in Denver, helping her load same & a 1-pc. steam-shower onto her open-trailer for her to transport TO HER OTHER HOME in Scott's Bluff, NE., donating the time @ N/C.

She had also asked me for a name, any name, of a tradesman that might help her complete a bath remodel @ her other home in Scott's Bluff, NE. as she had been "unable to find someone in or near Scott's Bluff capable of completing said bath remodel".  As I had recently met a NE. resident [here in Denver, helping his niece (my neighbor) complete her kit. top & flr. retile], & understood him (Bradley Martens) to have remodeled / resold 2 homes in NE., I got his ph.# from his niece, inquired of him as to his availability and / or interest in a project 120 miles away from his home in Ogallala, receiving his interest in same, and conveyed his name & ph.# to Ms. Cox.

I understood them to have met in Scotts Bluff (@ her residence there) soon thereafter, establishing a time-table, hr.ly compensation, & terms: Brad was to be allowed to sleep / overnite @ the Scotts Bluff res. during project, Ms. Cox was to furnish meals & their cost, to cover the cost of Brad & herself to shower / use the facilities of the local KOA camp (as her Scotts Bluff res. had only the 1 bath) ... literally, rm. & board; and to help w/ the project as much as she was capable of and / or willing to.

Brad Martens initiated the Scotts Bluff res.'s bath remodel in Aug. 2009, working under the direct supervision of Ms. Cox, as both were staying / over-niting @ the Scotts Bluff res..  They completed 10 days together, w/ Brad Martens receiving nearly $2000 in billable hr.'s compensation, and both scheduling the resumption of the project 2 wk.s later.

I spoke w/ Ms. Cox, shortly after her return to Denver, following their 10 day CO-sojourn in Scott's Bluff, while retrieving my ventilation equip. from her Denver home, AND SHE DID NOT VOICE EVEN ONE NEGATIVE COMMENT RE. BRAD MARTENS.

After the resumption of Ms. Cox's Scotts Bluff Bath Remodel 2 wk.s hence, I was informed by Brad Martens that he had arrived before Ms. Cox (as scheduled), had worked 3 days before Ms. Cox had returned from Denver, and had purchased an additional $200 in mat.s for her project.  Upon her return (day 4), she immediatedly presented him w/ an $800 bill for her services that she had rendered to him the initial 10 days of the project, ie.:  laundry, meals, rm. & brd., and a % of the KOA costs ... negating the terms of their verbal contract.

Mr. Martens immediately ceased operations, loaded up his tools & returnable mat., left the Scotts Bluff site and retreated to nearby neighbors he had befriended while living / working @ Ms. Cox's Scotts Bluff res..  He then was told of her similar dealings w/ local contractors that Ms. Cox had already interacted w/ @ her Scotts Bluff home.  Ms. Cox never reimbursed Mr. Martens for the 3+ days & non-returnable mat.s, nor did Mr. Martens ever consider paying for his rm. & board.

I, however, have Pd. dearly.  In early Sept. 2009, I endured her cell. ph. self-medicated DIATRIBE / beratement of me professionally, personally, & physically, as she demanded THAT I TRAVEL THE 200 MILES TO SCOTTS BLUFF, AND CORRECT / COMPLETE MR. MARTENS' WORK.  As I gaurantee My work, she insisted that I also gaurantee my referrals.  When I suggested she utilize a Scots Bluff Professsional as Mediator (i.e. the local Building Inspector) to assess the alleged inadequicies of Mr. Martens' work, she hung up on me ... More than likely because she WAS NOT PULLING ANY PERMITS, and had already lost a property tx. appeal of her Scotts Bluff's home's assessment.

As to the specifics listed in her 9/9/09 Ripoff complaint, I respond w/ the following ...

Brad Martens has never been / or will ever be MY PARTNER in my business of 32 yr.s, Design Construction Specialists.

As Mr. Martens was living (while working) @ Ms. Cox's Scotts Bluff res., his having beer @ her res. is understandable ... his drinking all day cannot be known by me.

His installation of the sub-flr. (w/ glue), "prior to roughing-in the plumbing waste & supplies" IS A COMMON PRACTICE WHEN AN OPEN / UNFINISHED BASEMENT / CRAWL-SPACE EXISTS UNDERNEATH.

As Ms. Cox was onsite, to @ least supervise (as I understood from Mr. Martens that she was of no help), the inability of her to achieve the desired result (& cost) rests entirely w/ her.

"They want to be paid" ... my involvement was limited to introductory ph. calls & help loading her trailer here in Denver, @ NO COST.  Brad Martens was bilked out of final compensation (as well as the unknown # of Scotts Bluff local tradesmen).

MY reputation has been sullied by this self-medicated rant, tantamount to LIBEL, by one nefarious individual, Ms. Cox, bent on revenge for an imagined injustice.  She also does NOT COMPLY W/ RIPOFF'S TERMS OF SERVICE, by posting false information.

My Time & Reputation ARE VALUEABLE ... ENOUGH OF THIS
