I am a watch maker by trade and was looking for a certified watch maker to clean and service my 1950's Chronograph Omega Seamaster that was in perfect condition.

I went to the N.A.W.C.C. where he was registered as a watchmaker and they said he comes highly recomended.

So I made contact with him and through 6 emails and what he said it would cost to service at 75.00 to clean Tom Dunn the owner told me to send the watch certified priority mail, so I did and when he received it. All the emails stopped, I could not get ahold of him by phone or email for 5 days.

Then I threaten him that I was turning matter over to the U.S. Marshals service and filing on him. Then Tom replied and said he was gone at a watch show, whick I checked there was not and he was typing just fine to every one else on the internet those days, lol.

So on April 10th he said he was going to send the watch back reverse postage, then he emailed back and said he could not do this and I needed to send him a check for 32.00 to get my watch back foor postage.

I told him again that he better send the watch back or Im filing charges, then Tom Dunn said I will send the watch tomorrow and he gave me tracking numbers 1Z14E1090142095520

yes I found out today where my watch was , in Pleasonton California.

Tom Dunn called me and said from a phone with no caller Id that he made 1,200.00 on my Omega Seamaster and told me to go f*k myself and your U.S. Marshal friends.

Well all I can say is I hope this report does hit 30,000 search engines because I will do everything I can to put this person down. He is a criminal and uses his website to ripoff people expensive watches from other watch makers.

You might be thinking ,prove it well like I told Tom Dunn before I sent the watch off I had a deputy sheriff watch me pack it at the post office before I sent it. This constitutes a officer of the court.

I had a similar experience...but not with this person.

John, My name is Steve, and I read your complaint on the web......... I had a similar experience with another person who purportedly was a member of the NAWCC...National Watch & Clock Collectors Associon. I am retired, but I used to sell watches on a World Wide satellite TV station in Knoxville, TN. And I made a lot of $$$$ doing that from 1995 till 1999. The company went out of business in '99....so I took my money and retired.... Anyway I got ripped off by another person on an expensive watch, which I ordered, paid for, but never arrived. I got justice by doing two things.... First since I had sent the money in a cashiers check in the US Mail...I filed a complaint with the USPS, and they got the Postal Inspectors on the case. Next I contacted the officers of the NAWCC and laid out the complaint against one of their members with them. Two things happened....first the US Postal Inspectors went to this persons home town, found him, questioned him, and started investigating. Next the NAWCC reported all this in their online website. The person in question was thrown out of the NAWCC for unethical dealings.....as they (NAWCC) have very specific rules about that. Next the person was arrested by the US Postal Inspectors, and last I heard he was serving time in his local jail waiting for his trial - which is due to come up in Oct. of 2008. You might try these things to get the jutice you deserve...... A Friend In Missouri.........

#4REBUTTAL Owner of company

Wed, April 20, 2005

Hi; I'm writing to expose this guy calling himself John from Green Valley Az. He is actually Jon Wayne Cable. Here is his first email identifying the watch he sent: I am a watchmaker by trade I have a Omega Seamaster Automatic No. 344 serial # 14112680 has sub second hand . Had running for two hours and then the hands raced, the staff looked alright . What do you charge to fix it or do you have parts if it needs a mainspring or staff. Also I need a watchmaker to work with on Breitlings, Omegas, Hamiltons. What is your turn around time . He sent me a $50 broken watch to fix (worth 150 when running right). It arrived on Wednesday the 6th while I was attending the NAWCC show in Ft. Mitchell, KY. (From Wed. - Fri. of that week) I sent the following email on Friday evening the 8th (after arriving home Jon: Got it... I'll give to watchmaker next week., Thanks! He then emails this to me: Listen you better send me my watch back or you will be doing prison time. You have been watched from the very beginning. I sent you 3 emails that are not getting through to you through Earth Link. If I don't get my watch in 7 days I will file charges through the U.S.Marshall service. Being a former federal agent I don,t think I will have any problem hanging your friggen a*s. Regards Jon Wayne Cable Then at 4:36 the next morning he sends this: This is to let you know that I have had second thoughts of letting you fix the watch. So send the watch back U.S.P.S. this cost me 9.05 with 400.00 insurance Priority mail. You can either reverse the postage or I will send you a check for the postage. Or you can buy the watch for 125.00 which is very reasonable considering that the movement working sells for around 250.00 alone. I am a watchmaker and certain watches I don't touch unless I have extra parts. I have been ripped off quite a bit in the last two months and just cant take the chance with trying to locate honest watchmakers. You can see where Im coming from , this watch is mine but if I sent a customers watch out with sentimental value I would have a lawsuit. I contacted you before I sent the watch out and you relpied every day. So I sent the watch out on the 4th and you got it on the 6th. I contacted you on Thursday and Friday with no reply. So I called you and got a answer machine , doesnt look good for me trying to trust a new person. Regards Jon Wayne Cable Then finally he acknowledges our shipment back on the 13th: Let me know are you send this UPS or United States Postal Service. And Yes I will send you your postage. Regards Jon Wayne Cable Now he is saying this is an expensive chronograph worth thousands. If that is so, why would he have offered to sell it to us for $125? Here is what I posted on watchnet.com: Too much time on his hands Posted By: Tom Dunn (dpc6682009056.direcpc.com) Date: 4/18/05 21:14 ...as you guys have already noted. Sends me a broken 60s seamaster which he tried to clean, then says send it back, "the feds" are watching me. Then offers to sell to me for $125. It's a $50 watch at best. Now says it's turned into a platinum chrono worth thousands. Someone let him out too early? I have all his emails, and his watch is being delievered tomorrow. Advise NO BUSINESS with this individual. Incredible time waster. To you guys who know me, thanks for vouching. Tom TIME MACHINE And his reply, admitting he tried to sell it to me for $125: Re: Too much time on his hands Posted By: Jon (dialup-4.240.186.216.Dial1.Phoenix1.Level3.net) Date: 4/19/05 18:42 In Response To: Too much time on his hands (Tom Dunn) You have all the email's well so do I and now the FBI hey that rymes. Ya I got the watch back but the band was missing and the movement was not the one I sent you. Matter of fact if you were changing movements you should have changed out the rotor with the numbers on it to make this look right. Truth hurts doesnt , you got caught Mr. Dunn, you think this forum is bad well wait until 30,000 forums get hit with this. Yes Mr. Dunn I was so fedup with the crap with you I wanted to sell the watch for 125.00 for what I paid for it. The watch all it need was a cleaning and since my Elma was ripped off I had no watch cleaning machine. I sent the watch to you because N.A.W.C.C. reffered me to you and now I have a piece of crap for a watch. Well, Jon, I hate to tell you but you had a piece of crap for a watch before you ever sent it to me, and that situation hasn't changed any. Sorry you got ripped off in the past but don't take it out on me. I didn't rip you off. Take it where it belongs. (If anywhere) And lying about it only makes you the real crook. Grow up. Get a Life. I have all this documentation on computer, and I did not "tap" into his computer and "steal" three of his emails. This guy's been watching too much TV or something! Again, to all who read this make up your own mind, and again I advise NO BUSINESS with this individual. Go to the watchnet.com/dealwatch/ board and you will see just what this is. Tom Dunn Goes Into Computer & Deletes Files

#8Author of original report

Mon, April 18, 2005

I contacted Time Machine Tom Dunn owner and told him someone from his company hacked into my computer and deleted all the files saved on outlook express folders that pertained to sending my Watch back. Then Tom Dunn sends an email with the tracking numbers and all the emails from Tom to myself, without the 4 emails of Tom sending my watch back. I printed out two days before the emails that were sent by Tom Dunn as the first one shows Tom is sending the watch back the second one shows the UPS tracking numbers and third email shows he sent the watch back on Tuesday. Now he has committed a federal crime, Dumbas* Tom Dunn has sent me and email showing the three emails for sending the watch back were gone, which proves he hacked my computer and deleted files. My Omega Seamaster Chronoghraph was worth 1,500.00 to 2,500.00 which was a automatic with three sub dials with movement number 129562232 and inside the back cover 2576-14 with a stainless steel mesh band with all the markings.
