Timeshare Investors of America called us and offered to assist in selling our timeshare for a fee of $2749.60. Joseph Black of the company requested a bank draft immediately and stated that the contract would be in the mail for our review. The company withdrew their amount the following day and sent us the contract 10 days later. The contract does not list a single thing that the company would actually do to promote our timeshare and further stated that we had to sign the contract to be eligible for any refunds 12 months after the contract was signed. We feel that the contract is a scam and that signing it just validates the company policy of pulling money from your account before you have any true idea of what the contract really looks like. We have contacted the Texas Attorney General Consumer Complaint Division but have not received any response from them or Timeshare Investors of America. The last thing we heard from Timeshare Investors was that we had lost our money for not signing the contract.

I wasn't scammed by this particular company, but I was scammed by another timeshare company claiming they had a buyer for my property. I was able to get my money back by using a company called Universal Financial. The charge was over a year old, but they still got my money back. You can try and call them. The number is 855-531-8960. Good luck

Timeshare resale scammers target people who advertise condos for sale. But they also work off lists of timeshare owners.
