ACTUALLY, I THINK THAT EVERY RELATIONSHIP SITE ON THIS INTERNET IS A RIP OFF! I HAVE FOUND THAT MOST OF THEM DO NOT CHECK AND SEE IF THE PEOPLE ARE MARRIED, HAVE A CRIMINAL HISTORY --INCLUDING A HISTORY OF FAMILY VIOLENCE AND ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH THEM AS THE AGGRESSOR, ETC. & ETC. I FOUND THAT ALL THAT MOST OF THEM CARE ABOUT IS THE MONEY AND THEY HAVE THE SORT OF CLIENTELE I WOULD CALL "LOSERS." THESE ARE PEOPLE WHO THINK ALL THEY HAVE TO DO IS SNAP THEIR FINGERS AND THE PERSON OF THEIR DREAMS WILL BE BROUGHT TO THEM BY A DATING SERVICE. I DON'T LIKE THESE KIND OF PEOPLE... WE ARE DEALING WITH HEARTS AND MINDS AND SOULS NOT JUST A CONVENIENCE... THERE IS A REASON THESE PEOPLE CAN'T FIND A SPOUSE...OR KEEP ONE. YUPPIES USE THESE MATCH MAKER SERVICE AND I WOULD RATHER BE IN HELL THAN BE IN THE SAME ROOM WITH THE YUPPIE! THEY ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO CAN AFFORD THE EXORBITANT FEES. I WANT TO HAVE A VERY GOOD IDEA OF WHO I AM BEING SET UP WITH AND EVEN IN THE BEST MATCH, SOMETIMES THERE ARE UNPLEASANT SURPRISES! THE BEST MATCHMAKERS, BELIEVE IT OR NOT, ARE YOUR FRIENDS, FAMILY AND EVEN YOUR CLERGY -- ESPECIALLY IF THEY ARE JEWISH BECAUSE IT IS CONSIDERED A MITZVAH TO BRING A COUPLE TOGETHER IF THEY ARE HAPPY AND ESPECIALLY IF THEY HAVE CHILDREN. YOU CAN NEVER BE TOO CAREFUL THESE DAYS. I ALWAYS DID A CRIMINAL HISTORY CHECK OF EVERYONE I EVER CONSIDERED GOING OUT WITH INCLUDING AN OUTSTANDING WARRANT CHECK. GOOD LUCK IN YOUR SPOUSE HUNTING!

2/18/2009.. First, I will not dignify Together's Attempt to Resolve response by addressing any of their half truths. I am confident that once anyone reads the other complaints on this site that will speak for itself concerning Together's business practices. I will however agree with the statement this Client does not have an issue with the quality of her matches because there were NEVER any matches made. The first email I sent to Together was at 8:47 p.m. requesting the contract signed at 4:10 p.m. be canceled and the charge to my credit card be reversedthis was sent as a follow-up to the phone call I made earlier that same evening. In the email, I stated, My decision is based on the results of extensive research on Together Dating, The Right One, Pacific High, Lully's Inc, and Lawberg Inc. along with the results of the BBB reviews. The only written offer I have received from Together Dating Service was sent to me on February 11, 2009, which was after I posted a complaint on Rip-Off. As you can see, their substantial refund comes with the condition that I remove all complaints, etc. I have very strong beliefs concerning the basic principles of right and wrong and by accepting this offer, I feel that I would be compromising my beliefs. Therefore, I have not responded to their offer because what I would be doing in a sense is selling my beliefs for $2000 and Together Dating Service would be keeping $2,695.00 for doing absolutely nothing. As far as their offer to continue servicing my membership, you can not continue doing something you never did!........... Below is a copy of the offer I received from Jeanette Weisberg via email on February 11, 2009. Per our conversation on February 5, 2009, as a show of good-faith and customer service, Together is willing to provide you a refund of two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) of your membership fee, and continue to service you as a member. Upon signed acceptance of this offer, you agree to remove any/all complaints about Together/The Right One that you have posted on the internet. As a condition of this agreement, you waive your right to any additional refunds/credits of your membership fee. You also agree not to post any other complaints, or make any other attempts to cause harm to the reputation of our company, including but not limited to, complaints to the Better Business Bureau or any media sources. I hope you will accept this offer and allow us to assist you in the achievement of all of your relationship goals. If you have any further questions, please call me at (210) 979-2550. Thanks, Jeanette Weisberg Regional Director

First, it must be stated that from the beginning of this Client's membership, Together has made numerous attempts to resolve her issues. Our Clients' happiness and satisfaction with the services provided by our company is our utmost concern. With that being said, this Client does not have an issue with the quality of her matches or the quality of the service provided her by Together; she has an issue with HER decision to join our membership. On one hand Jenny states in her ROR complaint that she signed up for a trial singles' membership on an internet site, but then, in an effort to minimize her true seriousness about coming to our office, says, "For whatever reason, I decided to drive to San Antonio (almost 90 miles)...to find our what their service." Jenny, like all of our Clients, came to Together in the hopes of finding a solution to her dating needs. Contrary to her complaint, did not spend 2-3 hours with her counselor before being convinced to join; Jenny's appointment with our company was at 2:45 and she made the decision to join our service at 4:02pm. Jenny only met with her counselor for a little over 1 hour before SHE made the decision to join our service; the time on her credit card slip proves this. Approximately 8 minutes later, Jenny chose to upgrade her membership to a larger one; so when she says in her complaint that she "hesitated to sign the contract", or "against my better judgement", she uses these phrases to minimize the fact that this was truly her decision to join, and one that she made eagerly and confidently. Jenny did send an email requesting to cancel her membership and our staff made it a top priority and quickly called her to address her concerns. In the spirit of goodwill and customer service, Together immediately offered Jenny a refund of one-half of her membership fee AND continued use of her membershihp. On June 24, 2009, Jenny sent Together an email (on file in our office) asking if we would reduce the amount a little more and she would come in that Thursday to sign a new contract. This email made Together realize that Jenny's issues were NOT about complaints she had read about our company, they were about her desire to get the price reduced as much as possible. Regardless, Together continued to honor its offer to her, but Jenny would not sign a standard release stating that she would not dispute the remainder of her membership fee. To this date, Together is willing to provide Jenny a substantial refund AND continue to service her membership. This offer has been made to her in writing and we are awaiting her response.
