Tom McCann is a notorious scam artist. He circulates Saratoga Springs preying on homeowners needing any kind of home improvements from painting, drywall, and roofing to concrete, electrical, and plumbing. Tom McCann told me he would replace windows, fix my bathroom, paint, and do general repairs. Once he asked for a deposit for "materials", he began texting me that he was behind on his payroll and his workers were unhappy. I made (2) additioanal emergency deposits for thousands of dollars. Since we both use Saratoga Credit Union, Despina (my represenattive) assured the deposits would go directly to his account. After that, Tom disappeared. he didn't return phone calls, texts or messages sent thru third parties.
I waited 30 days and filed a police report for the wooden blinds he stole. I have unfinished windows, an incomplete bathroom, elecrrical problems, plumbing problems, and a ton of touch up paitinting to cover up the mess he made.
I've also come to realize that he's uninsured and doesn't carry comp for his employees. Please beware of Tom McCann. He is more than capable of scamming you.
