I purchased a Toshiba Satellite C55-A5100 from Best Buy. I literally have not used the laptop more than 20 times, and for small things, nothing crazy – just internet and e-mail and that’s it. Now it’s not under warranty anymore according to Toshiba's website and it apparently needs a new hard drive. It was purchased a few years ago, but literally for how much it got used and being as I paid over $400 for it, this has got to be the WORST investment I have ever made. I cannot believe they are selling this “product” with their company’s name proudly displayed on it. NEVER AGAIN will I buy anything from Toshiba and will be sure to tell anyone I know in the market for buying a laptop about this experience.

Ummmm....I was told for what I was going to use it for, it would be good. I didn't want anything fancy, just the basics. So there was no reason for me to go spending a bundle. However, when you Google toshiba laptops you will see the same types of complaints all over the place. So yes, I expect more from a company when they sell a product that it will actually last for longer than it did and that's not too much to ask. When people buy a product, they expect to get some use out of it. I'm not the only one complaining about their quality by far, do your own research my dear.

You're claiming you were ripped off because you bought a $400 cheap notebook a few years ago and now it's defective. You really do get what you pay for, sorry to say. If you wild have used it more it probably only would have lasted a year. If that.
