On April 11th, 2007 in the evening hours, I called Total Electrical Service & Mantainace, a company out of Bell South Yellow pages,page # 496, no address, no website buth with the State Master Eletrical License # E.C.0001061 the owner, John took the call.

I reported that my eletrical stove neede repair as it was not working and that maybe it was the power box,I also said that my front yard light pole was not working and needed repair, John replied that a service would be dispatched next morning from 8 to 10 am and that the service cost was $ 98.00 per hour, I agreed.

The service man arrived after 8 am on the next day and Adson, the service man started the service. Adson disasembled my eletrick stove top, de drawer under the stove and after one hour of messing with the stove and the power box, he informed that the problem was in the relay under the stove top and that he would have to charge the parts and hours to fix this. My wife at home during this episode, decided to wait for a possible warranty service we own and told Adson, the service man to look at the outside front garden light pole.

There again, the service man messed around fror another hour and 15 minutes only to install 3 wire nuts and say it could not be fixed before more hours could be charged.

As it was raining by then, I was presented with a invoice by Adson the service man, under another company name, Nation 1 Eletrical services, Inc.with no address but with phone numbers 954 753-9653, 561 362-8440 and 561 616-4444 and license # EC0001061. The total was for $ 369.00 including $ 1.50 fro 3 wire nuts, $ 2.69.50 for 2.25 hrs.and $ 98.00 for service call.

I argued with the service man that this was a high price for the mess left behind, with no solution nor repair and that I wanted to speak with john, the owner of the company I hired " Total Electric Service and Mantainance ", The service man a rgued that his work was included the trouble shooting and the hours involved plus the service fee.

He called John the owner of the contracted companyto explain the situation, he then called me on my home number. John tryed to explain me how serious and eficient his company was and that I called him for one thing and that the problem was caused by another, I interupted him and said that the invoice value was too exagerated for waisting time in a diagnosis and not finishing nor solving the problem, I also said that we all new that both items/appliances involved were not working, that was why I called them in the first place.

I also said that his service man was unprofetional and not capacitated and that he had just dragged with time to make more hours and still ask for more hours to work. John then came back with a surprising remark, maybe to threaten me, he said: "I know that you don't like the service man, maybe it is for the color of his skin", I reacted promply and said" Are you out of your mind! , are you calling me a racist, You don't know who your talking with and you are calling me a racist!,

John denied having called me such and I repeated his words, " you John, said that I did not like the service man because of the color of his skin " John went on to say that he takes care of all issues in his company personally and that Adson, the service man was one of his best profetional, I said that that was clearly not my impression and that his company would never do business for me again. I said that I would pay the total amount and report this episode.

I paid with my check #2840 from Bank of America and received the receipt again with another companies name as already reported above. from my experience today, this is a company thet lives from ripping off consumers through making revenue by misuse of time and information, the owner John, also seems to have some tricks in the sleave such as saying that I the consumer am disatisfied with the service because of the color of the service man's skin, the fact is that this declaration by John, came with no such stimulation or even hint from my side, nor from anyone else from my family, the service man was in fact well treated, served orange juice and treated respecfully.

It was only after the ripoff the started with the talk about more time, nothing repaired yet and the $ 369.00 invoice appeared that I had to react with disatisfaction. I never used any poor or prejudice language nor did a become agressive.
