First off Kym I would like to repsonse to your comment that you posted. I don't have any beef with Sallie Mae, and I can care less if you work with them. If you read what I wrote correctly my beef is with Unisoft Technologies. And if you read the story from Danielle you would understand what we are trying to say. Besides the school was a rip-off, because regardless if the school is a trade school or any other school they would be listed under the Department of Education data base if they were a legal school in which they are not, so what is that telling you. Second of all the Higher Education Commission office is helping me in this process with this school and so is Sallie Mae. So my point is you, you don't know about the school never attended the school so keep your comments to your self. Thank You

Are you telling us that Sallie Mae will loan ANYONE money to go to school even if the school is not accredited? I don't have a student loan, but have been reading with interest some of Sallie Mae's underhanded dealings, and wondered if you could shed some light on how professional this company is? Please do tell. People out there stuck with high interest student loans are just dying to know.

I am A Sallie Mae employee. I have heard stories such as yours over and over again, but the unfortunate thing is that you took the loan out, therefore you still are responsible for paying it back. If you dont feel you got the education that you paid for, you, as well as the other students you mentioned should take it up with the school. Also, did you investagate the school at all before enrolling? I mean, I know if I was going to put myself thousands of dollars in debt for something, I would definately find out everything I could about what I was spending the money on. An education is an investment. And a student loan is no different than a car loan, If you took out a loan for car, then decided you didn't like the car, wouldn't you still be responsible to pay that back? You wouldn't be able to up and decide that you don't have to pay that back because you didn't like your new car. You do have options, if you contact whoever is holding your loan, they will be able to help you with payment arrangements.
