United Sweepstakes - Daniel Collins - Steven Childs Beware United Sweepstakes In Canada Big Rip Off Beware of a man named Daniel Collins or Steven Childs who Represent United Sweepstakes Westmount Quebec
I was contacted by phone by Daniel Collins congratulating me on winning United Sweepstakes in Canada. I was told that I had won $750,000.00. In order for me to receive my winning I had to insure the letter in the amount of $2100.00. I told them I did not have that much money. They said if I could send $700.00 then their company would front the rest of the money. Well like a fool I wired the $700.00 ( which by the way was every penny I had) through western union.
I was contacted after the wire went through and was told that a courier would arrive at my home between 10:00 a.m and 10:30 a.m. the next day with a cashiers check in the amount of $750,000.00.
The next day I took off from work and axiously awaited the arrival of my winnings. When nothing happened I called Mr. Collins and was told there had been a flight delay.
I contacted him again and he told me the check was held up in customs in Buffalo New York and I needed to send an additional $1500.00 for the immediate release of the money.
I advised that I was not going to send another dime and that I thought I had been scammed. I told him to wire my money back to me the same way I had wired it to him. He advised that he had to check with his supervisor. They wanted to mail me a check out the next morning. I told him no and told him to send my money back by western union.
Mr. Collins advised that he would get back to me in one hour and to date I have not heard from him since.
In yet another attempt to get my money back a woman answers the phone and tells me Mr. Collins has been in a serious accident and is in the hospital.
I wonder how many more victims besides myself have been ripped of the the money that puts food on their tables.
