University Of Missouri - Columbia Employee harassment Ripoff Columbia Missouri
I was verbally abused by another UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI - COLUMBIA co-worker who exerted tell-tale signs of harassment. I logged into a private memo various occassions when this person came into my office to yell at me over petty disagreements, ie, once I borrowed a pen and forgot to return it; she mocked and ridiculed me in front of another UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI - COLUMBIA co-worker, talked to another co-worker about me in front of my desk pretending that I couldn't hear; and the worst was when one UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI- COLUMBIA employee who associated with the primary bully erased my computer disk for which I ultimately lost my job.
I had, in a prior conversation with my supervisor, spoke about my concerns about the harassment, however, I was told to simply "ignore" the bully. After being leaving my job, the "bullies" at the UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI - COLUMBIA continued to call my home and harass me until I disconnected my phone and invested in an unlisted cellular phone. I contacted the UNIVERSTIY OF MISSOURI -COLUMBIA about my rights but was told that unless it was on the basis of discrimination - ie sexual, racial, or philosophical, there was nothing I could do; however, I feel that there IS something I can do. I can tell my story and hopefully warn job-seekers to avoid THE UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI - COLUMBIA as the worst place in Columbia, Missouri to work.
