I was a superviosr for the verizon wireless team at the young america call centre, yes, i worked with Dan(from previous comment). First off, i would like to say, that i have never ever seen so many examples of people just being retarded and not following instructions. It is not the call centre rep's fault that you didnt get your rebate,if you would have read the instructions properly(which was 95%of most customers problems) things would have went through smoothly for you sir! Infact, you were probally yelling and screaming at me on the phone as I only took irate callers for superviory level calls !I ended up leaving my job cause I couldnt handle the stress! I learned 2 very improtant lessons working for young america: #1 never ever mail in for a rebate unless you have photoco[pies of everything(UPC BARCODE) and #2 americans are stupid

Sorry to hear about all your problems, As an employee at Young America, I work for client Verzion Wireless as a Call Centre rep. So of course I get the priviledge of dealing with many people like yourself who have had problems with their rebate. As the people before have stated, Young America is a separate company that specializes in rebate fullfillment. So basically Verizon pays us a lump sum to take care of the rebates, so whether or not we are "employees" of Verizon is entirely up to you. Keep in mind though, We DO NOT have access to any of your billing information, all we have is access to what rebate submissions we receive from you. I'd like to make some suggestions to those of you that are submitting rebates in the future to help ensure that you receive them. First of all... the most important thing of all... DO NOT THROW OUT ANYTHING INCLUDING THE BOX!!! As soon as that box is carted away, so is your rebate as the original UPC bar code is now lost. To clarify immediately, without the UPC code there is absolutely nothing that YA can do to get you your rebate, nothing at all, if you dont have it... too bad, plain and simple. Now, make sure that you READ everything in the rebate certificate(rc) and make sure you are satisfied with the phone... hence why VZW gives the 15 day worry free guarantee. Once you are sure you are happy, then follow all the directions on the RC. Which means make sure you cut the VALID UPC from the box. Not just the side of the box you see a couple of barcodes. Ensure that the certificate is filled out entirely. And finally enclose your Cash register receipt (or in some cases the order confirmation) once you have all of this together. MAKE COPIES INCLUDING THE UPC! I cant stress this enough, as long as you have copies you are covered. Plain and simple. Ok so now you've submitted it, and yes it does take approx. 4-6 (6-8 sometimes depending on the season) to show up in our computer as some of you fail to understand, you arent the only rebate we process, we receive well over 6000 per day. hence why it states 10-12 weeks. so after 6 weeks call to verify that it has been received, if it has and there is no problem then you are all set otherwise if there isnt a record you can resub at that time to another address for these sort of situations or we also have a FAX line as well. Again call in about 4-6 weeks to get a ship date. Now your check has been shipped... PLEASE! allow the 30 days to receive it... We send out our checks in Standard Bulk mail (saves VZW and YA lots of money) so it does take usually between 10-20 days to get to you. if you dont receive it after 30 days then call to put a stop payment. YA cant stop payment until the 30 days has elasped In this poor persons case, they DID NOT properly read the RC as it clearly says the address on it PO BOX XXXX Young America MN and it takes 10-12 weeks to process. Instead, they used a fedex stamp that is put in there for the NEW phone if they wanted to return it. So as I explained earlier about YA not actually part of Verizon, this rebate submission gets sent to Verizon returns at which point who knows whats going to happen to it. For all YA knows it gets thrown in the garbage, we attempted to have them forwarded to us with little success, so if anyone else has had a similar sitaution then you could be out of luck for the rebate. In some cases VZW CS will credit your account, but as Im YA I cant make any such promises that you will get satisfaction. I'll wrap this up quickly: Please people, READ the instructions, if you have any questions whatsoever CALL US thats what we are there for, not to lie to you, to cheat you, to steal from you... but to HELP you get your rebate anyway we can.

Leslie, I am a Verizon agent in Des Moines. The rebates offered during the time frame that you got you phone very clearly state that it's a MAIL-IN REBATE and takes 10 to 12 weeks to be mailed out to you. If you filled out the rebate and even skimmed reading it instead of reading it in detail, you would ahve found teh answers to most of your questions. The Motorola T-720 phone came with a Pre-Paid envelope in which you should not have had to pay any postage.
