Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I worked for this company and I have to tell you, I agree totally with all of the reports I've read. I worked in the collections department with Lucas Kester as my manager. He is a heartless, lack of social skills, very sterile man. And Gay the reason I mention his sexual preference is it wil play a role in this story. He has a total lack of personality and no people skills what so ever.

First off when I first started there I noticed how bad the collectors would speak to people on the phones, saying things like "why can't you pay? Don't you have a job? How do you support yourself" All over a 26.00 balance.

I understand that companies have to collect pass due balances but the technique they use is seriously unprofessional. would talk to the people I called with respect and In a exteremly friendly manner and I would collect the balances if they had it, if they didn't I would ask them to give me a date that I could put in the system and if they dfidn't pay by the just call and change the date. No hard core collections and disrespecting people.

When the hurricanes hit the south, I emailed Lucas asking don't we need to cancel the calls to the gustav and Ike affected areas. You all know what he said. NO. How in the heck can you collect a balance from a person that has been displaced by a natural disaster. They would'nt even give emergency minutes to people that had tree's crashing through their homes to call family for help.

That is a company that I hated working for. They only pay $10.40 per hour and you get split days off. Lucas put out a notice for a position that a woman named Kim was aleady doing and not being paid for. She has been with the company for aprox 7 years. she was there before Lucas was there. Anyway, Kim posted fro the position as she was already doing the work. Several other people posted for it to. Kim I might add is a black female. He interviewed everyone that appkied except kim. He gave the position to a l*****n that had been at the company a month. She stayed in the position for another month and moved to a different department.

The company is mainley headed by gay people that give prefernce to other gays. Not caring about a persons ability to perform the job and favoring people of a homosexual nature. That is very unfair. No one does anything about it ether. They are contractors for AT&T(their biggest contract), Boost Mobile and T-Mobile. they also have a variety of smaller contracts with prepaid wireless companies. With enouh complaints they will eventualy loose AT&T and the company will go belly up. So all of you that complain about the Vesta Corp, continue. Report to the BBB and whom ever else you can complain to. You AT&T prepaid customers, call AT&T and try to get the one in charge of pre-paid service(Not Vesta) But actually AT&T.

I wish you all the best in dealing with this company. IF YOU ARE IN A CRICKET SERVICE AREA I SUGGEST YOU CALL THE, BEST SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD. YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR BILL IS EVERY MONTH, NO LONG DISTANCE CHARGES, NO CREDUT CHECK AND NO LONG TERM CONTRACTS. AVERAGE BILL $45.00 PER MONTH WITH UNLIMITED TALK TIME.

Lori,

Thank you for sharing your comments and concerns. While we didnt interact directly on a daily basis, this forum was this first I heard of your discontent with the position, coworkers, supervisors, company, or myself. I wish I could have had the opportunity to address some of these concerns and made your tenure with Vesta longer and more enjoyable for you.

I know the team was supportive and accommodating during the distressing events that occurred in your personal life during the period you worked here and wish you the best of luck.

In regards to collection methods, a high level of customer service from the team is expected. The phrases stated in your report are not acceptable and contrary to the training, quality standards, standard scripting, and partner expectations. Such concern should have been reported. It takes each member of the team to drive to our continuous improvement.

The communication to the group in regards to Hurricane Ike is inaccurate. It was indicated any communication with the affected customers would be handled lightly and to inform them of the issue and how to resolve it. All accounts would be set out for a period of time thereafter. Those customers requesting emergency/courtesy minutes would be transferred to the proper department for assistance, just as the normal procedure in covered in training.

I do have to advocate the company does promote diversity throughout the workplace and fills any open position with the most qualified candidate; whether that is based on work experience, performance, dependability, or education. Each position is based on the input of several supervisors/managers and reviewed by HR before any promotion is given. The particular scenario that is referenced in the report is not accurate and involves two completely separate positions. One in particular was a transfer from another department that had been in an equivalent position for 2 years, not the one month with the company.

Again, I wish I could have had the opportunity to address some of these concerns and made your tenure with Vesta longer and more enjoyable for you. I wish you well, the best of luck, and will take your comments and concerns.

Thank you,

Lucas Kester

I worked at Vesta for a while they kept making deceptive moves on my intellectual property, like 'monied spooks!' which is all they actually are. Vesta is nothing more than a sick joke. I finally left that company after leveling two obscene gestures at a team lead.
