Vortex Industries Vortex Industries billing for time and services not completed! Pasadena California
I called out Vortex Industries to fix our glass front door at our commercial building. The repair man said our door needed a new door closer and he could fix it on the spot. The repair man was there for approximatley 1 hour and 15 minutes changing the door closer. A week later I receive a bill in the mail for $639.46...WHAT?? I called Vortex and they said the guy was there for 2 1/2 hours and they charge $68 per half our...WHAT?? He was only there for 75 minutes and I went to Home Depot two weeks before and the door closer itself only cost $89. Vortex, if he was there for 2 1/2 hours, isn't that quite a long to install a door closer? So they charged my $340 in labor and $300 for an $89 part. I called them extremley upset, and the guy on the phone said he would credit me $68 for 1/2 hour of work rendered. I could tell I am not the first person to call upset about their billing practices. I still feel extremley ripped off! I could of got a brand new door installed for around $1,000.
