I don't work at Wal-mart, but i have several friends that do. my deal with them is the General Manager Rodney(not sure of his last name). apparently this guy doesn't know anything about his employees, let alone cares about them.

a few months ago one of Wal-mart's employees was hospitalized. She spent well over four months in the hospital. during this time her close friends she worked with visited her several times.

complications arrose and things began a turn for the worse. her husband had to leave work to stay by her side at the hospital.

her wonderful friends were trying to figure out a way to help out the husband (since he wasn't working the bills & mortgage were piling up.) they went and talk to the GM to ask if he would help them out. he didn't even know who she was and said it wasn't his job to help her, that they had to go to human resources.

they were upset about this but decided to speak with HR. when they did HR told them that they couldn't help either. they did however come to an agreement to were they (friends) would come up with different fundraisers to come up with the money.

they came up with quite a few ideas-- JEAN DAY everyone pays $5/day to wear jeans all proceeds going to the family. a plate dinner were their(walmart) bakery would provide food for $5 a plate all proceeds going to the family. they gave the ideas to HR who then inturn spoke with the GM. his response--No. to this day i dont know the reason why he said no.

about a month ago she past away. all of her friends attended the funeral. they gave flowers and offered any help needed. he did not even offer to send a card or flowers. some employees didn't even know she had past away. instead of announcing it himself he said it was HRs job to do it. this happened over the weekend and it wasn't posted until the following week.

now i ask you this...Would YOU want Rodney to be YOUR GM?
