I worked at wal-mart as a 2nd job on the evening and weekends. An there was 1 employee that I got along great with, and it was so funny he always, told me he wanted to get with me jokingly, and I told him no cause he was my friend, and plus I didn't have a thing for black guys. (ofcourse I didn't tell him that). Well, all of a sudden one day, I was called into the office and was told that I was accused of sexual harrasment by that specific individual. I was blown away, I never thought he would say such a false accussation being that I considered him a great friend. I became distraute, and I told them that he had been chasing me, but I always told him no cause he was my friend and besides he was married. After that I had Management on my back watching everything I did, accusing me of rediculous nonsense and certain employees spread rumors of me and some other black employee. Not meaning to be racial just not attracted to them. Anyways, I had to leave since they made everyday, a living hell for me. I went to work at Bank of America then, quit and now am a truck driver. Crazy. This is the life of getting away from all there stupid Sh*t. More money too. Good luck in what ever you do. Just Realize that you will obtain a lot of hassel from what you are doing, are you willing to go thru it? If you are good luck, and you will be in my prayers. Be Strong.

Being the nice guy that i am, i gave this woman the benefit of the doubt. this happened on a friday, and i figured by the weekend she would have cooled off. when she came in monday, obviously she wasn't. so when she pushed me in front of the cameras and i confronted her about it, she said : "i have not begun to push you yet" i then reported that, like i am supposed to, and the next day, tuesday i was terminated. I guess it does not pay to be a nice guy anymore.

Sorry, I did not clarify the question of involving the police. I should have asked why you didn't call the cops when it happened. Going to them days after the fact usually is not very helpful.

Richard, OK, now for the serious response. Why did you not call the police when you were assaulted? I mean, if you had marks on your body from the assault, the cops would have seen that and made an arrest. They could have then requested any video of the incidents from Wal-Mart. If this truly was assault, it was a police matter, not a Wal-Mart matter.

As to your response thomas: yes it can be proven, because as you know, walmart has cameras everywhere in the store, and in this particular store they are upgrading and adding more cameras. The location where the incident happened was in the front of the store between registers 11 & 12, and just above all of the registers there are cameras, and they do record everything that is going on. i even checked with management before i left the store yesterday when they let me go. So the detectives can go in there i am told, and view the cameras that are over that location, and see exactly what this woman did to me. they told me it is on video, but they can't release it to me, (which i wasn't trying to get them to do)only to the detectives when they go in there and request a copy of the video. i have all of my bases covered. the irony of this, is that other people saw what she did and they do not want to get involved. of course they are of the same race. i told this to the police officer and detective, and they said that this can also be a racial issue, even thought i was not trying to do so, but this is what they told me. if you have any more helpful advice, it would greatly appreciated...............

Have you tried calling Wal marts home office? They have something called the sundown rule. When you call they have to have the situation settled by sundown. I would call them & report nicole

A false arrest lawsuit is very messy and expensive. This could become similar to enforcing your right-of-way while driving: You may be right, even perfectly right, but you could also end up being dead right. Temps have NO rights. Sometime directs ("captives") have no rights. I have no idea what you did, or did not do, to draw the ire of your tormentor. This is someting you will have to figure out. But do understand that if you are going to work temp, you had better train yourself to get along with everybody. There are "No Exceptions" to your "getting along with everybody", no matter WHAT the stated company policy may be. It is simply easier for the company to get rid of you than to deal with intra-employee conflicts.
