Water Garden Creations ripoff delivered a Pond of Muddy Water Murrells Inlet South Carolina
After each heavy rain storm our 11' by 16' pond would become so filled with the dirt/mud runoff from around the pond edges that we could no longer see our beautiful Koi fish.
Jack Stollenmaier, the pond creator, continually claimed that the cloudy water was caused by our lack of maintaining the proper bacteria levels; that the cloudiness was caused by algae.
Finally, to prove the point, we had the pond drained, by another pond consultant, and the rocks and gravel continually washed with a pressure washer until the water being pumped out of the pond ran clear. The pond was then permitted to refill with crystal clear water with the appropriate amount of Aquascape Design's Aqua Clearer, Liquid Bacteria & Enzymes added.
The chemicals were added each week, and verified by another pond contractor, for the next two weeks as instructed on the Aqua Clearer product. The pond remained crystal clear until it RAINED again.
Now, Jack could no longer claim that we were not performing proper maintenance on the pond. In fact, during this entire eight months period, Jack's firm was paid $39.00 each month to provide the maintenance.
Jack continues to fault us, his maintenance staff, in-appropriate Brand Names of Liquid Bacteria, and anything or anyone he can point his finger at for the problem. Never willing to agree that the pond liner is laying flat on the ground and permitting rain water runoff from the yard, with all of its chemicals (fertilizers) to add excess nutrients to the pond water causing the rapid growth of algae.
Jack's certification by Aquascape Designs' as a professional pond developer provides no comfort or confidence. Is this a certification that a person can just buy, is it given away free, are there qualification/inspections performed to provide credence to the certification, once given, can it be taken away?
Don't make the same mistake that we did!!!! Do you know any contractors that would fill our pond back up with dirt? We do!
