Waterhouse Financial Inc Aka Waterhouse Inc Christmas Lottery Scam Houston Texas
My husband received a letter stateing that he has won $250,000.00 included with a $4880.00 check with watermark and everything. The letter said to call and confirm before depositing.
He called the number and they confirmed that he could deposit the check. With it he was to pay the taxes on the $250,000.00 via western union or moneygramin the amount of $2985.00. And then he would receive the rest of the money by fed-ex.
Sounded too good to be true, so we had our daughter research the company on the internet. Could not find the actual company, but she found the affiliate company reported through the BBB in Onterio.
It reported that the company was fraudulent and very illegal. So she did even more research and found this site describing exactly what happened. We immediately tore-up the check.
If it sounds too good to be true than it probably is!!!
