Waterside Mobile Home Community Treasure Cove Mobile Home Park They scammed me and won't give my deposit back Gibsonton Florida
On Friday January 26th 2018 I went to Waterside mobile home park to look at their property as a possible renter for myself and my five-year-old son. We had just moved to the area from New Jersey and I was due to start a job the following Tuesday January 30th. When we arrived Bianca the office manager there said she did not have any properties available till February 3rd. She called one of their other locations called Treasure Cove And sent me over to see their manager Norma. She told me they had a house for rent it was not a mobile home it was a single family home.
My mother myself and my son went over and met with Norma. We looked at the house and we decided to take it. We had a teleconference with one of the higher up managers name Caroline. We told her we were very interested in the house and we would be able to put a $300 deposit that day. We told them and they agreed that we would be back by the following Saturday to pay the rest of the money sign the lease and move in. I went back the following Thursday before the agreed time with the rest of the money to sign the lease.
Now they do not want to give me back the deposit that I put down and they have told me I need to write a letter left me and my son with no home and no place to go. They are nothing but a bunch of scam artists who advertise these beautiful mobile homes on their website and when in fact the homes are nothing but trash and are about to fall over! After the meeting and speaking with Norma and Caroline it was very apparent that the deposit was for that specific property. Then I went back and I was told that it's not for any specific property the deposit is for any one of their properties.
That is not something that was ever told to me and if it was told to me I would never have agreed to giving money for a home I have never seen. Especially after seeing the properties at Waterside and Treasure Cove. I've now had to use the money that I was going to give to them for the rest of the deposit to pay for a hotel for myself and my son. Unfortunately that is not something I can keep a forwarding as well as save money to get another home

After reading my report I forgot to include that when I went back that Thursday with the rest of the money to sign the lease and get the keys they informed me that they had rented the property to someone else even though I had put a deposit on it.
