We gave Waypoint Homes a 30 day notice of intent to vacate as we are buying a home and moving March 1st.  On February 18th, I was served a notice to appear in court on February 25th, 4 days before we move for non payment of rent. No, I didn't pay rent on the first, I'm waiting until the 29th so that I had plenty of money for inspections and appraisals which were more important to me that rent. 

My problem is that there was no common sense or common decency to send me a letter or email asking about rent and the situation. Anyone could have called at anytime and said hey, when are you paying rent? 

Besides that, when I moved into this house, it was so filthy we had to wear and throw away socks until I could have the carpets cleaned. They took forever to make any repairs, like over a month. Their customer service reps are so rude. They would not do any repairs that the hoa asked for. The sprinkler system didn't work and they wanted me to seed and fertalize the dead lawn that's been dead for years. They are just a really pathetic company to have to deal with. I hope they go out of business soon for the sake of other renters.
