I have been a customer with this company since 1998 when they were Interland. When Web.com acquired them, there was significant growing pains in the transition however I opted to stay with them. Over the past six months they have been a disaster. Tech support is now off-shored somewhere and the company I believe is participating in what I think is criminal activity concerning charges to my credit card.
I have called to cancel accounts last year and they never cancelled them. I was asked by their support personal if I had any record of cancelling the accounts. Since they MAKE you call in to cancel, how would I have a record of that? It's a phone call.
When I call billing they are the nastiest bunch of losers I have ever spoken with. They continually put you on hold (sometime longer than 10 minutes at a time) in hope you will become frustrated and hang up. I am sure they would treat the situation differently if it was their money being taken. I personally have been cheated out of over several hundred dollars over the past few months with all this cancellation nonsense.
My hope is that a law firm will pick this up as a class action suit since I personally know others that have been wrongly billed and never credited their credit cards.
Just so you know, Go Daddy is much better. Although I have some minor issues with their services, at least they DON'T RIP YOU OFF!
