MY COMPLAINT 9/25/2014:

I would like to formally complain about late fees charged on our account.  We are company of over 400 employees.  We write checks weekly on Fridays.  The owner signs those checks over the weekend and we mail them on Tuesday.  We process your invoices as quickly as possible, but seem to constantly be charged late fees. 

 

I have reviewed our inbound mail received dates, check mailing dates, your invoice dates, and the dates you post our payments.  I find a very disconcerting pattern over many months that tends to favor your company getting extra money.  There is generally a one week delay between the date you print on your statements and the date we receive the bill.  Either you are not mailing them on the date you have listed on the bill, or the post office is taking a FULL WEEK every single month to get that bill to us. There is no delay on our end.  The mail is opened within an hour of receipt every day.

 

Additionally, there is generally a FULL WEEK from the time we put our payment check in the mail and the date you post it.  Either your lockbox service is not posting everything the date it is received or the US postal service is taking a FULL WEEK every single month getting that check to you.

 

We do not experience such a delay with any other vendors.

 

I am aware there are faster payment methods than paper invoices and paper checks, but that is the payment method that our owner is comfortable with.

 

We have complained via phone and now have been told you won’t waive the late fees that have posted.  We have a company VISA that pays points that we could just as easily use for our gas purchases.  Are you prepared to lose us a customer?
