They sent me a letter that US $10,000.00 cash award unconditionally mine. I believed therefore I fax to them with my signature a month ago. Still I didn't get any answer from them but they are sending the same letter again and again with different kind of title but the address is same. Why are they doing this?

I was dreaming about what will I do when I get that money but they are sending the same letter again. You don't even think a second that they could betray you when you receive the letter. Because they put in envelope "urgent, bank cheque release signature required".

What I Did When I Got the Same Letters From Willoughby and Coventry.

Since before I have been advised to always read Official Rules and Terms and Conditions for every endeavor I encounter. The Sweepstakes Rules for Willoughby and Johnson Ltd. and Coventry Leatherworks is no exception. Just recently I also got envelopes from Willoughby and Johnson Ltd. and Coventry Leatherworks informing me that I am a guaranteed cash award recipient. At first I thought they were just trying to sell me their products but I read and studied the letter. Plus I read their Official Cash Award Rules which was written at the back of either the document or the letter of each envelope I received. Now here is my take on this as I understood the letters and the rules: First of all it was stated in those documents that they have these sweepstakes campaign going on to promote their products and it would end either December 31, 2004 or December 31, 2005 depending on the envelope you receive I was an entrant for both draws. But the official rules stated that: "other cash awards will be distributed during the promotional period" So aside from the grand award draw at the end of the sweepstakes campaign period, Willoughby and Johnson Ltd. and Coventry Leatherworks are also giving away cash awards during the campaign period. And this is were the guaranteed cash award envelopes we received come in. If you get two guaranteed cash award envelopes, you get 2 separate cash awards, if you get 3 cash award envelopes you get 3 separate cash awards. The amount you will get would depend on what is being offered in the letter. Their only requirement for you to claim the cash award is to comply with their rules which they keep repeating in their letter and even in their document. The Official Cash Award Rules are clearly stated at the back of the paper. Let me enumerate some of these rules: 1. "Please present your cash payout code provided within 11 days of receipt of the letter". However it states in their rules that "A grace period of 21 days will be allowed for international mailing delays and no liability can be accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed in transit." Meaning you have exactly a month for the document to reach their hands for you to be able to claim the cash award. It is your responsibility to make sure it gets to them within the time frame and that it does get to them. 2. On each envelope, they do entice you to make a purchase for their product. It's a sweepstakes publicity campaign anyway for their products. But they keep repeating in the letter and the document itself again and again that purchase is not necessary to claim the award. Whether you make a purchase or not, the cash award is yours as long as you comply with the rules. In fact the first sentence in the Official Cash Award Rules is: "No purchase necessary". However here lies the difference between purchasing and not purchasing to claim the cash award. 3. If you are purchasing a product offered in the envelope, they ask you to submit the official document and reply envelope provided and mail or fax it, whatever the instructions are. Imperative word here is submit the official document provided if you are purchasing. 4. If you are not purchasing a product, you do not use the official document and reply envelope provided otherwise cash award will be waived. I repeat do not use the official document and reply envelope when not purchasing or cash award will be waived. According to the cash award rules, you have to submit your name, address, phone number and cash payout number written on an 8x14 cm. postcard to claim the cash award. Let me qoute the official cash award rules verbatim: "To claim your cash award without purchasing, carefully print your name, address, and phone number on an 8x14 cm. postcard, along with your cash payout code number. Mail card with correct postage to Willoughby & Johnson Ltd. Bulk Sorting Centre, 6 Commercial Street Hicksville, New York, 11801 USA. Do not use the reply envelope unless you are making a purchase or cash award will be waived". So if you submitted the official document provided without purchasing anything to claim the award, you don't get the cash award. As simple as that. It's in the rule. And they keep saying comply with the rules. 5. Lastly, they said that they will send the cash award to you via international post as soon you submit your proper claim and verify your mailing address. They also state that international mail takes 6-8 weeks for receipt and processing. Meaning from the moment they receive your claim and verified your mailing address, you should give them a maximum of 2 months for the cash award to be in your hands. I complied with their rules and based on when I mailed and faxed the papers and their receipt and processing of the papers, I expect to hear from them by October at the latest. That's more than enough time. There are other rules stated but I just mentioned the ones that I think are relevant to the topic in question. This is how I understood the rules as a cash award recipient and for me there is no "ripoff" as long as rules were followed and the time frame the company set did not yet expire.

Don't Send Your Signature!

If you don't know who this is, you should not have sent your signature to them. Do not send any personal information. If they are legitimate, there should be a contact number and they should be listed in the business section of the telephone book for their area.
