Dear Sirs,

Kindly please be informed that I Marian R an ex-tenant at 640 Rohnert Park Expy W. Apt 373 in Rohnert Park, CA 94928, I would like to bring to your attention the following : Windsor at Redwood Creek Apartments abusive and/or unfair practices which does not comply with Fair Housing Act Regulation and Requirements..

In the end of my Lease Agreement of 01/24/2014, this local management unlawfully pretend from me, to perform a Professionally Steam/Vacuum their apartment carpet with a special steaming equipment.. This  outrageous "request" it was NOT mentioned in the Lease Agreement that I have signed with them back in 08/24/2013, but unlawfully requested in writing in the end of my lease.. The lease agreement stipulates that the apartment have to be cleaned at the delivery date, and/or show normal wear and tear..

Local Office Manager Gina Mazzotti abusively decided to introduce these charges of $179.09 right at the end of my lease in order to reduce the cost of their operation, which I consider to be an intention of SCAM.. I told Gina Mazzotti and her Corporate Office from New York in numerous emails that I will not pay for such an abusive charges of $179.09, since the Lease Agreement mentioned only a "Normal Wear and Tear", which I occupied for 5 months only (08/24/13-01/20/2014)..

I told them that it is unlawful to introduce stipulations that were not part of the already signed agreement, so I will report them to the Local Authorities and Consumer Protection Agencies for unfair practices, false advertisement, mislead, illegal charges, intention of theft, breach of contract..

However, at the delivery date of 01/20/2014 I asked them to come and inspect my apartment #373 since I cleaned, including the cabinets/appliances, and vacuumed entirely, so that they can perform the inspection properly with the same Inspection Check-In/Check-out Sheet that was provided to me at the beginning, and which I have a copy with numerous imperfections found..

They sent a maintenance employee to see my apartment, but this gentlemen stood at the front door and the only question he asked me was if I steamed the carpet professionally.. He took few nots and left in less then 25 seconds.. I insited to come and inspect the apartment, but they refused completely, including Gina Mazzotti..

I took multiple photos in order to demonstrate that the apartment was indeed cleaned.. They asked me to give them back the keys, and they threatened me with other charges if I do not return the apartment keys without any inspection.. Gina Mazzotti refused to give me anything in writing that will proof the delivery of that unit # 373 on that day of 01/20/2014.. I had no other option and gave them the keys back..

Anyway, I never ever entered that apartment with my shoes on, and my 5 months old puppy that moved with me, was ALWAYS kept in his crate for the duration of 2 weeks of leaving with me.. I re-homed him after 2 weeks immediately due to my working schedule..

I NEVER EVER let my puppy to walk on the carpet either, since I always took him outside for regular walks.. I informed the Local Complex Apartment Office of Gina Mazzotti properly in writing at that time and they performed an inspection of my apartment in order to cancel my extra pet monthly charges.. In the end, and after I moved out (01/20/2014), they claimed that my 5 months old puppy left hair on the apartment for two weeks and that needs professional steam carpet cleaning, as an excuse for these abusive charges..

I do not have any connection with this company, either have been doing business with them in the past, since I recently moved to California from Nevada, last year in August of 2013..

I moved out immediately at the end of my lease..

Marian R

Updated in details based on my entire sad experience with this Complex Apartments Management..

I will start saying that I am an ex-tenant at 640 Rohnert Park Expy W. Apt 373 in Rohnert Park, CA 94928, and I would like to add on Rip-Off.com the following : Windsor at Redwood Creek Apartments abusive and/or unfair practices which does not comply with Fair Housing Act Regulation and Requirements..

All started with a very cold blood and lies in my face including disrespect that I encounter in my first visit to their office last year 2013, when I was intentionally mislead in order to be charged more money in rent for one bedroom apartment (or $1,710.00 outrageous amount based on this small town and the quality of their units).. I asked if I can rent for a 6 months period since I was new in the area, and the Assistant Manager Megan told me that the renting offers are : 2 months or 11 months.. Obviously the 2 months were a little higher than the 11 months, or with a $100 per month more in rent, but that was the main mislead reason since she wanted me to be locked into a longer term, which I declined due to personal interest in that Complex Apartments and acommodation reasons..

Later on I found out from one of her regional supervisor named Angie Miller that I should have been able to rent even for 6 month period.. Unacceptable.. Few days later they posted a letter on my front door immediatelly after my move in date and that letter was an outrageous increased amount in rent for the next period if I would not sign any lease agreement after my initial 2 months rent contract, (or around $2,000 per month).. I am not sure from where this outrageous rent numbers came from, but these DO NOT reflect the renting market of this area, and in particular for one bedroom apartment.. I also associated this practice and arrogance with an obvious ripoff coming from this management perhaps with the help of their Regional/Corporate Headquarters leaders..

However, I asked some of my neighbours about their rent amount, and I was shocked to find out that some of these tenants signed their renewal in the same time with me, and their rent was close to $400 less for the same one bedroom apartment compared with my rent..

On top of everything this management office did not even know their stipulations of their lease agreement entirely, and they applied rules that they embrace personally and obviously not mentioned in their lease agreement, including arrogance and horrible customer service experience that this office needs to improve in order to behave acordingly with their business..

I had no other option and gave them the keys back, in order to avoid more back and forth arguments with her since she was very unprofessional..

Anyway, I never ever entered that apartment with my shoes on, and my 5 months old puppy that moved with me, was ALWAYS kept in his crate for the duration of 2 weeks of leaving with me..
