I called the Wynn's Warrenty Company to find out information about our extended warranty on our 2001 Ford Escape. I requested copy of this warranty to be sent to me via fax and was told it could not be faxed because it was to long, then requested a mailed copy to be forwarded. I received a sample copy in the mail but not a copy of our warranty.

I was also informed that there were two warranties under our name. I inquired further as to why there were two and was told that the first one was voided due to inputting incorrectly. The second warranty was inputted two days later and is the one they consider our warranty.

Also advised that our warranty was no longer valid due to our car being over the 75,000 mile mark. The vehicle had 45,000 miles when we purchased it and no one would purchase a five year warranty on a car with only 30,000 miles before expiration. When we purchased the car we were advised we were purchasing the extended warranty with no miles attached.

We have also contacted the dealership that sold us the car to request a copy of our warranty both by phone and in person to be advised that they don't have a copy of the warranty either.

They told us that they have not dealt with Wynn Warranty's in years, however, we purchased the the Escape only two years ago.

We have just recently emailed the the dealership again requesting a copy of this warranty due to us going further into this investigation.

Just recently we had to have some repairs made the car which we thought were going to be covered by the warranty which ended up costing us over $700 and they did not repair everything. We still have one problem which is a reocurring problem with the Escape. We do feel that this problem should still be covered due to it being a reocurring problem that has been reported and supposably repaired before. We will be looking further into this issue as well.

We feel that we have been sold one warranty which now is not what we purchased. Things are not right when no one can produce a copy of our warranty to us at this date. We definately feel that we need to go further and investigate our warranty with legal council, etc. Our repairs should have been covered!

I'M A CONSUMER INVESTIGATOR , I HAVE SOME GOOD ADVISE FOR ALL THE PEOPLE COMPLAINING AGAINST WYNN'S EXT. CARE IN BREA. REALLY WHAT I HAVE TO SAY IN RESPONSE TO THE MANY CLAIMS THAT I HAVE DEALT WITH. ONE IS TO READ THE d**n CONTRACT !!! IT MAKES ME SO MAD THAT PEOPLE SIGN CRAP WITHOUT READING IT. THAT IS THE NUMBER ONE CONSUMER ERROR. SECOND IN WYNN'S DEFENSE THE SELLING DEALERS OF CONTRACTS HAVE TO EXPLAIN THE WARRANTY CORRECTLY TO BUYERS AND MANY DEALERSHIPS ARE SHADY BECAUSE THEY B.S. THE CUSTOMER WITH BOGUS INFO ON WARRANTY'S JUST TO MAKE THE SELL. THEN WE GET THE S??? END OF THE STICK. SECOND NON PRIOR APPROVALS ??? READ THE CONTRACT !!! IF YOU WOULD HAVE READ IT YOU WOULD HAVE KNOWN WHAT TO DO. NON COVERED PARTS DUE TO LACK OF MAINTANENCE. PEOPLE IT'S YOUR FAULT THE WARRANTY CLEARLY STATES ALL POSSIBLE SITUATIONS FOR YOU. LAST ERICK IS THE BEST C.S REP IN THE WYNN'S COMPANY. IF HE WERE A JEDI HE'D BE YODA

as much as i would love to be able to help you out and doing something about how you feel... i can not. see on the front of the conract it states that "the conract expires upon the passing of time or mileage specified above" in your case on your contract it said 75,000 miles. i am not talking down on you nor i am on wynns side. but with that legal binding contract you really don't have anything. i find it odd that you were never given a contract from your selling dealer there should of been legal size carbon copy paper about 3 pages long. the wrong one was sent to you by error i am sure. PLEASE START POSTING YOUR CONRACT NUMBER AND I WILL CALL AND SEE WHAT I CAN DO SINCE I KNOW HOW THIS CROOKED CORP WORKS! I CAN HAVE YOUR REAL CONTRACT SENT TO YOU BY MAIL WITH OUT A PROBLEM.
