AS SOMEONE WHOSE RELATIVES HAVE BEEN PRINTERS FOR A LONG TIME, I CAN TELL YOU THAT XLIBRIS IS NOT A REGULAR BOOK PUBLISHER, OK.
IN THE TRADE THEY ARE KNOWN AS A VANITY PRESS PUBLISHER BECAUSE THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MANUSCRIPT AND THEY WILL MAKE IT INTO A BOOK FOR A FEE.
THAT MEANS YOU PAY THEM TO PRINT YOUR BOOK!
THIS IS NOT LIKE THE BOOK PUBLISHERS THAT BUY YOUR BOOKS AND THEN THEY WILL PRINT IT AT THEIR OWN EXPENSE AND DISTRIBUTE IT AND SELL IT AND PAY YOU ADVANCE AND THEN ROYALTIES AND RESIDUALS.
ONCE THEY DO THAT, THEIR FINANCIAL OBLIGATION TO YOU IS PRETTY MUCH OVER.
CHECK YOUR CONTRACT THAT YOU SIGNED WITH THEM AND CHECK IT OVER VERY THOROUGHLY.
YOU PAID THEM.
VANITY PUBLISHERS DO NOT PAY YOU TO PRINT YOUR BOOKS, YOU PAY THEM.
YOU MUST HAVE MISUNDERSTOOD SOMETHING SOMEONE SAID.
