Younkers Department Store Deceiving $10. coupon for Black Friday Davenport, Iowa
The $10. coupon in circular states, "Good for $10. off one item over $10." Of course on the back it states, "not good on several brands,or doorbusters, value items, incredible buys, etc.(99% of sale items basically), and must be used on a single item over $10." When you get to the store, everything individual item is either on sale to result in being under $10. or over $30. with the $10. off discount. Or it is an excluded sale item. I aimed to spend under $20. on a gift due to the budget I had.
This seemingly great $10. coupon was useless unless people had a certain amount of money to spend. Nothing on the coupon or circular stated the truth of the coupon's use. It felt like I was baited. Many other customers said the same thing. They waited in line almost 30 minutes too with items, to be told the coupon could not be used on anything they bought. The honest thing to do would be to state, $10. off any qualifying sale item over $30. and then list the qualifying items on the coupon. I spent 2 hours in the store that morning, not finding anything that qualified for use with the coupon under $40.
Waited in line 3 times. What a deception.
