Complaint Review: Zmodo - City of Industry Internet

I purchased a Zmodo Security Camera System with a 500 GB Hard Drive and it appeared to look nice and be a good value for everything you received. Too good to be true, Certainly. However, I had read Mixed Reviews with some people either Loving the Zmodo Products or the opposite, People Saying they were the Worst Items/Merchandise they have ever encountered. Should of been a Red Flag, but since the Price was right and some people appeared to enjoy the Zmodo Products I figured I would take a gamble. Bad Choice, as some people had even reviewed, any Positive Reviews regarding Zmodo Products and or Services, where placed there by Zmodo representatives themselves. I can honestly say that I believe that to be 100 percent true after my experience with Zmodo Security System.

First thing first, the Product did not include everything the merchandise claimed to come with. Second, at first I thought maybe I was not understanding how to install it, so I contacted a professional and let him know the Zmodo system I had, and he said that those are horrible to setup and although they claim they are quick and easy, that it would cost 1,500 to setup the (4) Camera System that was suppose to be DIY Easy Setup according to Zmodo. Furthermore, as I knew I did not want to spend that much on installation since the product only cost 140 total, I kept attempting to mess around with the machine and trying different trial and error scenarios---

Then the Product Stopped Working Completely and the did turn on all of a sudden and kept essentially having a mind of its own--- almost like someone else was operating it. Really strange! They claimed that this was an easy setup, well that is certainly the furthest from the truth as you may notice from the Negative Reviews on the System. Any Positive Reviews, I would carefully examine and think about, because I do not believe any of them to be genuine. I am very technological and always install everything myself in all realms from electronics, to appliances, etc.

Lastly, I contacted Customer Service that Zmodo has. Wow, is all I can say about that. The people working for this company are the most unprofessional, uneducated people that you will ever encounter. Grammar, Rudeness, Unprofessional and no care to create a solution for their product is all I got in response to a message I had sent them. Research for yourself Zmodo Customer Service and you will find many others with this same identical experience or similar. This was not a one time event by virtue of the research I have done after being frustrated and so disappointed with my purchase and customer service experience.

There are a lot of options out there for home security and other products Zmodo sells, I know home security cameras are something they have a lot of options with. I highly recommend you spend a little more money and do not support Zmodo, as they are candidly an unprofessional, low class company that has even worst merchandise and customer service. Bottom line, if the price seems to good to be true, then it really is and that was indeed the essence of Zmodo. Stay Away from Zmodo and save yourself the hassle and from supporting a company that is truthfully not customer oriented in the slightest amount.

Zmodo is what I believe to be a complete Scam Company that writes their own reviews, sells merchandise that will not last and essentially does not care at all about there customer base. Buyer Beware.
