Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

After a call to Choice Priviledges (Hotel Chain) I was told I would be transferred to one of their "Partners" so I could provide feedback about the call I just made.

Actually, I was forwarded to a timeshare sales person who was offiering a "2 night stay for 16,000 points" and that "I was lucky that I just got in on the promotion, which was supposed to end yesterday."

I told the person, Elizabeth (Rep #200792), "that I was NOT interested in the stay, and not interest in any presentation on timeshares."

She assured me that was not the case, that this was a "no strings attached getaway at one of their 17 resorts." I again told her I was not interested. She proceeded to continue telling about the great offer for two nights for 16,000 points, and that she would send me an email about the product "and "to let them know which property I would like to stay at; that Myrtle Beach was a location only minutes away from the beach." She also said "There are no blackout periods."

I again said I was not interested, as I already have a timeshare. Out  of curiosity, I did look at the "terms and conditions" included in the email, and it stated: "+Reservations may not be booked for stays the night before, the night of and/or the night after a major holiday. Major holidays include: President's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July Fourth, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. One (1) reservation is permitted from May 15th through August 15th due to very limited availability." No blackout periods???

I checked my points balance on Choice Priviledges as I was going to make a reservation and discovered my point balance had been reduced by 16,000 points after the phone call! I had NOT agreed to anything.

Bluegreen Vacations stole 16,000 of my Choice Rewards points, which I am now attempting to get back.

My advice to anyone reading this: If your call is ever forwarded to someone who sounds like a timeshare salesperson, HANG UP! It's not rude to hang up on someone who is about to steal from you.
