I wanted to try a new nail place and heard about the new rave being the SNS nail so I thought I'd give it a try!  ENORMOUS MISTAKE!!!  I no sooner left the salon to go grocery shopping at Costco.  Was emptying the groceries out of car and one of my nails broke.

Drive to salon to get it fixed but they were closing so had to come back the next day which I did.  A different guy did the repair.  Thought everything would be fine but this was not the case.  3 days later another nail broke then 5 days later another and then another last night. I have had artificial nails done off and on for years and not have this happen.

Today, I am at a different salon and was told by the nail technician that you cannot put SNS product over acrylic tips.  Of course no one at Herbal Nails told either me or my daughter this as she has her nails done the same way.

We feel that we were intentionally mislead by this salon in order to make money during the COVID 19 crisis.  We paid a lot to have the SNS nails done BUT now have to spend even more money to have them taken off and a whole new set of nails applied.  All of this in 2 weeks.

I would DEFINITELY NOT recommend Herbal Nails again.

July 7, 2020 Update:  Yesterday after receiving the notification that the manager from Herbal Nails responded to my review posted. I called the Salon several times yesterday to speak with Sinal.  First call, I left a detailed voicemail with my contact information.  Time passed and no one from this business called me back so I called again.  I was told by receptionist that Sinal would not be in until later that day.  I waited again and no call back so I called again.  This time Receptionist said she would not be in and offered to text her (Sinal) and I said yes.  Again no response from Sinal. 

I called again and told the girl that if Sinal really wanted to settle this situation as they had two times already to do so but failed when the second nail broke in a week.  Not calling the customer back just proves that there is no intention and the business response to my posting is just full of "hot air!"

I felt the nail situation was bad enough and at that time was not going to mention the pedicure results my daughter had from the same salon.  See pics!

This is a further update of events and the actions by Rinal the salon manager at Herbal Nails. My Email to her today but no response received.

Dear Rinal: "Without Prejudice"

This message is in follow up to the meeting last Friday that you arranged but failed to show up for. I feel it was very deceptive on your part to wait until I did as I promised which was to update my review upon your promise to refund me the full amount of 228.00. (Is you recall in our phone conversation that several times you said to me that you would only refund me if I pulled the review and I responded with telling you that was extortion. My review was valid and done in good faith and I stated that I would also in good faith update it to redlwxt the salons response).

Instead the receptionist waited until I did the update on yelp and posted it before ever advising me that you obviously had no intentions of following through with the full amount and shorted me 38.00. That is deceptive business practices and failure to act in good faith.

Your receptionist stated that you said it was unethical to ask for the 38.00 back (your employees who did those poor services).

I told the her I wanted the 38.00 back on Friday last week and have been ignored by you.

Should we not be able to resolve this last part immediately before the end of business today, please be advised that I will be filing a full Complaint with the AZ Attorney General's office regarding this matter.

Please advise in writing only by Email how you wish to proceed, thank you.

Sorry, we couldn’t satisfy your expectations. First of all we don’t have refund policy at all as we are selling service not a product that you can return our 2 hours back and get your money back but with your dissatisfaction we bend our policy to make you satisfied. So as we agreed from the beginning we would refund the full amount of services that we provided to you and that’s what we did.

The $38 was the TIP ( gratuity) money you choose to give on you own the day you left bec you told us you were happy that day and also told the day you got the refund that you left happy with the techs and services. We/my receptionist told you it was unethical to take TIP( Gratuity) money back form techs to give you back.



Again I apologize we couldn’t satisfy your expectations and hope you find the salon which can satisfy your expectations. We wish you luck. Thank you again for your feed back.

Bryanna L's Review Update to Rinal P.'s Comment on July 14, 2020.

Update July 18, 2018

In response to Rinal's comment on July 14, 2020 from Herbal Nails & Spa Scottsdale and the untruthful statement made about the full refund. I was promised the full refund of $228.00 not $190.00. Thankfully I had another person with me while I was talking with Rinal on speaker phone during the phone conversation she and I had.

Second, it is a bald-faced lie when Rinal said in her comment that on the day of refund (partial refund) that I said "...that you left happy with the techs and services..." NO STATEMENT LIKE THIS WHATSOEVER WAS EVER MADE! When consumers have services performed they put a blind faith trust in the service provider that they are of quality and good performance. This was not the case for us therefore (See originating review and also the pictures of my daughter's feet).

Therefore we are entitled to a full refund and the full refund of $228.00 that Rinal promised. What Herbal Nails advertises on their website is not the quality and performance of services we received.
