 Amount paid: $639

 What business committed to do: 1. Business was supposed to “change 16x20x2 all supplie drain line clean evap coil clean mant included 15% discount on repairs” 2. “Commercial duct clean qty 1 @ $250 / ea”

 Nature of dispute: Business was supposed to come out and perform commercial duct cleaning, never showed up and gave a bunch of excuses. 3 times business was scheduled to come out and they never bothered to cancel and never showed up. After talking to the owner over the phone twice (both times asked for a refund and was told was going to be sent refund) I still have not been refunded any money for services that were paid for and never done. I have continuously been ignored by the business workers and owner included. I believe there may have also been racial discrimination against me as I am an Asian American small business owner. 

 March 25th was the first day of service which included changing AC filter and drain lines. Worker who performed services recommended commercial duct cleaning, so of course at the recommendation of a professional I had accepted. I had an appointment scheduled the next day for this service and no one ever showed up.

After calling business to find out why they didn’t show up to the scheduled appointment, they claimed their machine was broken and that they needed time to order another part for it (they claimed it would only take a few days). March 30th was the next scheduled appointment for services, and business again did not show up. 

After 2nd no show appointment the worker claimed “I’m so sorry I was busy and it slipped my mind.” I replied back to let me know when they would be available, and no response. March 31st, I had contacted once again to find out when they would be able to come out to actually perform the services that I had been recommended and paid for already at this point. Worker claimed he would be here, once again, on April 6th. 

On April 6th they did not show up for the 3rd scheduled appointment. At this point after many failed attempts at trying to contact them so many times, I requested a refund for service.

April 7th I had contacted the worker once again to find out what was going on as I was sent a receipt the previous night stating work was completed. After researching the company and finding the actual owner’s contact number, I had contacted Juan Rivera over the phone. I demanded a refund at this point and the owner claimed he would send a check to my business location.

In our phone conversation, at this point dealing with this unethical company, I had requested per email that he send me in writing that he was going to send a refund check to my business. Still nothing. After giving ample time to give the business a chance to send the check I had still not received anything. 

2nd time calling the business and again demanding a refund the owner claimed he had COVID-19. Understanding, I agreed to waiting the 14 day quarantine and owner claimed he would send the refund check. Over 20 days later I still have not received any refund or have been contacted.
