United's customer service has proven that they couldn't care less about their customers.

Flight 1 ran 50 minutes late.  United made not the slightest effort to connect their flyers with connecting flights.  I've been in this situation before, several times, but for the first time in 40 years of flying, United refused to offer lodging, stranding me at the airport.

After an hour in a chat session, I did get a travel voucher, but for hotels 500 miles away.   Another 90 minutes in the chat session, I had to give up.
