I had two Car title loans with these people for a short time. The interest rate was near 87% on both loans. I had to pay twice a month on each loan, which I did. for some reason these jerks kept emailing me saying I was late and next thing you know I'm 10 days late as I was paying on time 2 times a month. In Feb of 2007 I decided to trade in my two cars for 1 new car and a slightly used car. I got the payoff amount on each car from 1800 LoanMart. At the same time I had all ready sent my car payments to LoanMart, thinking that they would mail me back the payments totalling $215.00 since the payments were not reflected in the Payoff of each car. Well they never did so I called my bank and simply place a stop payment on them. A few days after the funds were placed back in my bank the jerk (Phillip Kaplan, Manager) called and threatened me over the phone, he said "I had 30 days to pay back the $215 plus $30 NSF fees of he would go to the DA office and file charges. I made a complaint with the BBB but they still insist they don't owe me but I still owe them. Watch out for this rip off artist, they don't know how to confess to their errors and they like to make stupid threats. It's not against the law to go into your own bank and place a stop payment. these peole are just shelfesh little fools. Don't do business with them.
