A Snip In Time untrustable vet, ripoff, liar, unsanitary, shakey hands Cleveland Ohio
I recently looked into getting my kittens spayed and neutered. I called first call for help because I am on disability, they gave me a few numbers to call of people who help. I called A Snip In Time and they seemed to be the cheapest.
The man who answered the phone told me they always tell people to bring $20-$40 in addition to the $45 per cat. He said it was in case he found something wrong that needed attention. I only had the $90 to get them fixed.
When I got there for my appointment the place seemed unsanitary and cluttered. He only looked at my male kitten and said "see the dirt falling on the table? Thats flea dirt, your cats have fleas." then he pulled down my cats eyelid and said see the coloring? that means your cats have colds in thier eyes. When he was examining my cats I noticed his hands were shakey.
He told me for everything he needed to do it would be $170 total. I found it funny that he wanted to chage $40 extra a cat.
I asked him if I could pay the remainder when I came to pick them up. He told me he only takes cash and only before he does anything. I did'nt feel safe leaving my cats to be operated on by a guy with shakey hands so I told him I would have to get back to him.
My brother asked me when we got in the car "Did you see his operating room?" When I told him no he told me it was a table on top of a rubbermaid storage bin.
I decided to take them to a place I have trusted for a long time. Even tho they were quite a bit more expensive. The vet ther told me my cats did not have fleas and there was nothing wrong with thier eyes. I let them do the operation.
I think this guy is making up symptoms and charging people more. I also don't think his shakey hands could perform such a detailed surgery without hurting the animal or removing more than needed. I don't think anyone should trust this guy and he should be investgated.
