Requested 3 men to move my one bedroom lot of furniture to an apartment from La Marque to Galveston, Texas. The owner, Steve Evors, said I did not need 3 men to move my things. That he would send two men and it shouldn't take more than 3/4 hours. He said if I saw that I needed 3 men he would send another man to help. They were over an hour late. Before even getting the truck load the worker was asking me what my budget was and how much money I had. He also started asking for a tip before the truck was loaded. I told him my budget was what I was quoted. 3/4 hours at 79$ per hour with a 39$ trip fee which would have been approximately 355$. The men started complaining about the amount of boxes I had. They would not move my washer and dryer because they said they need stabilizers or my TVs because they were not in boxes. Steve Evors did not tell me these conditions on the phone. When we arrived at the new location the movers asked me to call the owner for more help. I called Steve Evors and he began to yell at me on the phone about how many boxes I had. Saying that it was my fault it was taking so long. He would not send a third man and it took until 1am and cost me 600$. They broke dishes packed in boxes. He accepts cash only and the workers said they get no tax information at the end of the year so all business is done under the table. Steve Evors pays no taxes on any of the income, thus taking cash only, no checks or credit cards. Workers spent over 30 minutes on the phone with Steve halting my move as well as sitting around on breaks, which I was charged for.

False post

#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

Fri, August 24, 2012

The post is a false complaint about my moving company. The crew leader asked her twice if she wanted a third man, before they started work, and before they started driving to the unloading location. She declined both times. He asked her
because she, the customer, had grossly understated the number of boxes being moved to the third floor. She called me at 9:30 PM wanting a third man. I told her I would be unable to because of how late it is. I asked her if the crew
leader had asked her if she wanted at third man. She said he had not. She said he was standing right next to her so I asked her if I could speak to him.
Knowing she was about to be caught being dishonest, she replied "you can call him on his own phone", and hung up on me.
This false post is damaging to my business. I respectfully request that it be removed. Thank you very much for your
assistance.
