AAA Financial Services ripoff Wilmington Delaware
AAA Financial Services approach was "because you have been such a good member of AAA for over 30 years we are offering you 0% interest for 6 months and then an unheard of low, low interest of only 4.70%. This sounded good, and I trusted AAA, so I signed on.
When I wasn't looking the interest rate was raised to 10.99%, then to 19.98%. I wasn't paying attention to this until September 2003, when it reached an outrageous number of 27.98%. When I called they first said that I had bad credit and that was why they raised the interest rate. "No, I don't!" I replied. Then he said, well you must have missed a payment. I hadn't. What really galled me was at this time, he snootily informed me that I had been notified by mail, and if I didn't respond I had agreed to the increase. "What?!?!?!?" I was furious at this point.
I did get the interest lowered to 19.98 and an agreement that the would refund one months interest over this amount. I am still steaming.
When I get this bill paid off, not only have they lost me as a customer, but so has the AAA Club for endorsing them.
