These companies are affiliated with each other, but deny being so. On Jan. 18, 2009, I ordered my free trial. Two days later I received a phone call about my 15 day free trial in a coupon/savings club. I told them I was not interested and to cancel my account. The person on the other line stated "your account has been cancelled ma'am. Thank you." I, of course, believed it. I was looking at my bank statement about 5 days later and saw the charges for the S&H charges I agreed to pay. On approx. Feb 2 my bank account had a $85.91 charge from Nature's Best Acai. Naturally I called and wanted an explanation. They told me I did not cancel my account within the 15 day trial period. I stated I did. They stated they did not have a record of that but could cancel my account now and the $85.91 would be returned to my account as soon as I returned the recently shipped bottle of Acai. I stated I only received the free trial bottle and have not received another bottle. They said when the new bottle arrives to return it, but in the meantime they will cancel my accounts. Accounts? Yes, I had been enrolled in multiple programs all of which were going to continue to charge me money. I demanded they close all accounts I had been signed up for, and to tell me who they were. They quickly gave me three separate cancellation numbers, stated thank you ma'am and hung up. I called the number back but was disconnected before the call began. Fantastic. It was at that point I realized I was being ripped off. I decided to watch my bank account and credit cards closely for anymore charges. On Feb. 13, 2009 I noticed a charge to my Visa for $78.84 to a company called easyrapidcle with a 1-800# next to it. I called the number and was connected to the cancellation dept. for Total cleanse. I inquired as who or what easyrapidcle was, they stated they did not know and asked if wanted to cancel my account. My temper went through the roof. I forcefully stated I cancelled my account twice already. They said they had no record of that but I could cancel my account now. I asked if they were going to return my money to my credit card. They said they did not charge my credit card and my account in now cancelled. I said that's great, but now I don't believe you. Let me speak to your superviser. He stated there are no supervisers in his area, but he could give a customer service number. Fine. I hung and called the number only to be disconnected before the call begas. Again. I tried three more times and the called the previous number back. I began to talk to a different person who claimed he had no idea what I was talking about and that my account had been cancelled. I then called the number next to a different charge of $5.95 to a different company and it was the exact same computerized voice, same holding music, and same annoying east indian accent on that line. He also denied any knowledge of easyrapidcle and that my account had been cancelled. I then proceeded to ask as I did the previous to persons about a number to accounting and billing, but just like the others he said he did not have access to that information. Extremely annoyed by this time, I just hung up. I called and closed my credit card, and called the number for Total Cleanse again. I asked this one if he could tell what account they were charging and he stated it was a Visa. I asked which one. It turned out to be my credit card with the charges of 78.84 to this unknown easyrapidcle company and another charge of 5.95 of which I was aware of. At this point, all I want to do is punch myself for being so naive, but mostly I just want my money back.
