I, Micah, brought my car for a simple tune up and made a comment on my car shaking. I felt that it was coming from my powersteering but after closer observasion the technician felt that I needed new wires, cap rotors, some FIS service with TBI cleaning.

I agreed to having the work done to my vehicle paying $694. The work was complete I go to pick up my vehicle pay the cash and drive off, not even a mile down the road my car starts to back fire noticing that my car never back fired. I then call the shop back and told him what was going on he then told me to get it in to him first thing in the morning.

The following morning Im taking my car to Accurate Tune plus my car back fires louder than ealier stated, locks up and wouldnt start again. I had it towed to the shop and told the manager that it was still doing the same thing I called and told him about, but this time it shut off and wouldn't start back up. I told him I never had problems with my car until they did work on it. he told me he'll check it out and let me know whats wrong he checked my car and told me that my engine had blew up and to fix it, it would cost $2,500 plus tax . I dont feel I should have to pay this bill being that accurate tune plus did the maitnace on it not even 24 hours later its blows up somethings wrong.

Check the Wires

Sounds like they got your plug wires on wrong. Take the car somewhere else and have it checked out. If the car is a lower-mileage, well-maintained vehicle, you can pretty much prove that it was their doing. But the first think I would do is check the firing order and make suret the spark plug wires are correct. If they changed the wires and distributor cap, you can be that they messed up the firing order. That is what caused the backfire.
